The Apostle of Allah ﷺ used to offer the noon prayer when the sun declined. (Using translation from Muslim 618)

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ إِذَا دَحَضَتْ الشَّمْسُ  

ibnhibban:1502 – Ibn Qutaybah > Ibn Abū al-Sarī > ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Maʿmar > al-Zuhrī > Anas b. Mālik

"Anas told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out when the sun had passed its zenith, and led them in Zuhr prayer." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 496)
