Ibn 'Abbas reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever goes to sleep with grease on his hand before washing it off and is afflicted by something should not blame anyone except himself."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ نَامَ وَبِيَدِهِ غَمَرٌ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْسِلَهُ فَأَصَابَهُ شَيْءٌ فَلا يَلُومَنَّ إِلا نَفْسَهُ

The Prophet ﷺ said: If anyone spends the night with grease on his hand which he has not washed away, he can blame only himself if some trouble comes to him.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ نَامَ وَفِي يَدِهِ غَمَرٌ وَلَمْ يَغْسِلْهُ فَأَصَابَهُ شَىْءٌ فَلاَ يَلُومَنَّ إِلاَّ نَفْسَهُ
That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever spends the night with [a smell] on his hand and something happens to him, then let him not blame anyone but himself."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ بَاتَ وَفِي يَدِهِ رِيحُ غَمَرٍ فَأَصَابَهُ شَيْءٌ فَلاَ يَلُومَنَّ إِلاَّ نَفْسَهُ
“If anyone of you goes to bed with a smell emanating from his hand, and he does not wash his hand, and something happens to him, he should not blame anyone but himself.”
