The Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed sacrificial animals among his Companions. He gave me a kid (of less than a year). I took it to him and said: This is a kid. He said: Sacrifice it. so I sacrificed it.

قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ ضَحَايَا فَأَعْطَانِي عَتُودًا جَذَعًا قَالَ فَرَجَعْتُ بِهِ إِلَيْهِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ إِنَّهُ جَذَعٌ قَالَ ضَحِّ بِهِ فَضَحَّيْتُ بِهِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed sacrificial animals among his Companions. He gave me a kid (of less than a year). I took it to him and said: This is a kid. He said: Sacrifice it. so I sacrificed it. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2798)

قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ غَنَمًا لِلضَّحَايَا فَأَعْطَانِي عَتُودًا جَذَعًا مِنَ الْمَعْزِ قَالَ فَجِئْتُهُ بِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّهُ جَذَعٌ قَالَ ضَحِّ بِهِ فَضَحَّيْتُ بِهِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed sacrificial animals (amongst us for sacrificing them on 'Id al-Adha). So we sacrificed them. There fell to my lot a lamb of less than one year I said: Messenger of Allah, there has fallen to my lot a lamb (Jadha'a), whereupon he said: Sacrifice that. (Using translation from Muslim 1965b)

قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ ضَحَايَا بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِهِ فَأَصَابَنِي جَذَعٌ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا صَارَتْ لِي جَذَعَةٌ فَقَالَ «ضَحِّ بِهَا»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ took an oath with his companions to sacrifice sheep for the offering. He gave me a male kid from the goats, so I brought it to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, it is a young one." He said, "Sacrifice it."

قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ غَنَمًا لِلضَّحَايَا فَأَعْطَانِي عَتُودًا مِنَ الْمَعْزِ فَجِئْتُهُ بِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ جَذَعٌ فَقَالَ «ضَحِّ بِهِ»

[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed sacrificial animals among his companions, and he gave me a camel. I found it to be skinny, so I returned to him and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, it is skinny.' He said, 'Sacrifice it.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَسَّمَ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ ضَحَايَا فَأَعْطَانِي عَتُودًا فَوَجَدْتُهُ جَذَعًا فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هُوَ جَذَعٌ فَقَالَ «ضَحِّ بِهِ»

قَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ ضَحَايَا فَأَعْطَانِي عَتُودًا جَذَعًا مِنَ الْمَعْزِ فَجِئْتُ بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّهُ جَذَعٌ قَالَ «ضَحِّ بِهِ»

[Machine] The messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed sheep to his companions, and he gave me a young goat. He said, "Sacrifice it." I said, "Can I sacrifice it? It is a young goat." He said, "Yes, sacrifice it." So, I sacrificed it, according to the narration of Al-Wahbi, but it is not mentioned in the narration of Abu Dawood whether it was a goat or not.

وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِهِ ضَحَايَا قَالَ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيَّ بِعَتُودٍ جِذْعٍ فَجِئْتُ بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ جَذَعٌ فَقَالَ ضَحِّ بِهِ
