“Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minash-Shaitanir-rajim, wa hamzihi wa nafkhihi wa nafthihi (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the accursed Satan, from his madness, his pride, and his poetry).”
[AI] The passage translates to: "It is reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he used to seek refuge from the devil, from his whispers, his insinuations, and his arrogance. It is said that his whispers cause madness, his insinuations bring about poetry, and his arrogance leads to pride."

[AI] He heard Abu Umamah al-Bahili say: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he entered the night prayer, would say the takbeer (Allahu Akbar) three times, and then say the tasbeeh (Subhanallah) three times, and then say the tahleel (La ilaha illallah) three times. Afterwards, he would say, 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the accursed devil, from his whisperings, his blowing, and his evil influence.'"

[AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "When beginning the prayer, he would say, 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the Shaytaan, his whispers, and his blowing.'"
“I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he started the prayer. [AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , used to say in his prayer and in the hadith of Waraqah, "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , taught us to say, 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the accursed Satan, his whispers, his blowing, and his spitting.' Ata' said, 'His whispering is death, his spitting is poetry, and his blowing is arrogance.' Hammad ibn Salamah narrated this from Ata' and stopped at this point."
