[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , used to say in his prayer and in the hadith of Waraqah, "The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , taught us to say, 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the accursed Satan, his whispers, his blowing, and his spitting.' Ata' said, 'His whispering is death, his spitting is poetry, and his blowing is arrogance.' Hammad ibn Salamah narrated this from Ata' and stopped at this point."  

البيهقي:٢٣٥٦أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ السَّعْدِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي ظَبْيَةَ ثنا وَرْقَاءُ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُوسَى ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ؓ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا دَخَلَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ يَقُولُ وَفِي حَدِيثِ وَرْقَاءَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُعَلِّمُنَا أَنْ نَقُولَ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ وَهَمْزِهِ وَنَفْخِهِ وَنَفْثِهِ قَالَ عَطَاءٌ فَهَمْزُهُ الْمُوتَةُ وَنَفْثُهُ الشِّعْرُ وَنَفْخُهُ الْكِبْرُ وَرَوَاهُ حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ فَوَقَفَهُ

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَقَدِ اسْتَشْهَدَ الْبُخَارِيُّ بِعَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ صحيح وقد استشهد البخاري بعطاء

“I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he started the prayer. He said: ‘Allahu Akbaru kabiran, Allahu Akbaru kabiran (Allah is the Most Great indeed),’ three times; ‘Al-hamdu Lillahi kathiran, al-hamdu Lillahi kathiran (Much praise is to Allah),’ three times; ‘Subhan Allahi bukratan wa asilan (Glory is to Allah morning and evening),’ three times; ‘Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minash-Shaitanir-rajim, min hamzihi wa nafkhihi wa nafthihi (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the accursed Satan, from his madness, his poetry, and his pride).” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 807)   

الطبراني:١٥٦٨حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ عَنَزَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ فِي صَلَاةٍ فَقَالَ «اللهُ أَكْبَرُ كَبِيرًا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ كَثِيرًا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ مِنْ نَفْخِهِ وَنَفْثِهِ وَهَمْزِهِ» قَالَ عَمْرُو نَفْخُهُ الْكِبْرُ وَهَمْزُهُ الْمُوتَةُ وَنَفْثُهُ الشِّعْرُ
