If any of these is completely exhausted and you apprehend its death, then slaughter it, then dip its hoofs in its blood and imprint it on its hump; but neither you nor any one of your comrades should eat it.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent sacrificial camels with him (as offering to the Ka'bah). He then said: If any one of them becomes fatigued, slaughter it, dip its shoes in its blood, and leave it for the people (to eat).
“If any of them becomes unfit and you are afraid that it will die, then slaughter it, dip the sandal (tied around its neck) in its blood and place it on its side, but neither you nor any of your companions should eat anything from it.”

[AI] I asked the Prophet ﷺ about the sacrifice, whether it should be shared or not. He said, "Slaughter it, perfume its leather with its blood, and strike with it on its side or on its shoulder. Do not eat anything from it, neither you nor your companions."
[AI] The Prophet ﷺ sent a man named Abu Hadi with a sacrificial animal. He said, "If any part of it becomes defective, slaughter it, then strike its hoof in its blood and then strike its page with it. Do not eat it yourself, nor let your companions eat it. Make a separation between you and the people."
[AI] The Prophet ﷺ sent me with a voluntary sacrifice and said, "If any part of it becomes damaged, then sacrifice it, after that, dip his sandal in its blood, strike it on its side, and mix between the people and him."
