The Prophet ﷺ said, "When any human being is born. Satan touches him at both sides of the body with his two fingers, except Jesus, the son of Mary, whom Satan tried to touch but failed, for he touched the placenta-cover instead."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ كُلُّ بَنِي آدَمَ يَطْعُنُ الشَّيْطَانُ فِي جَنْبَيْهِ بِإِصْبَعِهِ حِينَ يُولَدُ غَيْرَ عِيسَى بْنِ مَرْيَمَ ذَهَبَ يَطْعُنُ فَطَعَنَ فِي الْحِجَابِ

Abu Huraira said, "I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'There is none born among the off-spring of Adam, but Satan touches it. A child therefore, cries loudly at the time of birth because of the touch of Satan, except Mary and her child." Then Abu Huraira recited: "And I seek refuge with You for her and for her offspring from the outcast Satan" (3.36)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ مَوْلُودٌ إِلاَّ يَمَسُّهُ الشَّيْطَانُ حِينَ يُولَدُ فَيَسْتَهِلُّ صَارِخًا مِنْ مَسِّ الشَّيْطَانِ غَيْرَ مَرْيَمَ وَابْنِهَا ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ {وَإِنِّي أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ }

Abu Huraira said, "The Prophet ﷺ said, 'No child is born but that, Satan touches it when it is born whereupon it starts crying loudly because of being touched by Satan, except Mary and her son." Abu Huraira then said, "Recite, if you wish: "And I seek Refuge with You (Allah) for her and her offspring from Satan, the outcast." (3.36)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ إِلاَّ وَالشَّيْطَانُ يَمَسُّهُ حِينَ يُولَدُ فَيَسْتَهِلُّ صَارِخًا مِنْ مَسِّ الشَّيْطَانِ إِيَّاهُ إِلاَّ مَرْيَمَ وَابْنَهَا ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَاقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ {وَإِنِّي أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ }

No child is born but he is pricked by the satan and he begins to weep because of the pricking of the satan except the son of Mary and his mother. Abu Huraira then said: You may recite if you so like (the verse):" I seek Thy protection for her and her offspring against satan the accursed" (iii. 36).

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ إِلاَّ نَخَسَهُ الشَّيْطَانُ فَيَسْتَهِلُّ صَارِخًا مِنْ نَخْسَةِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِلاَّ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ اقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ { وَإِنِّي أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ}

The satan touches every son of Adam on the day when his mother gives birth to him with the exception of Mary and her son.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ كُلُّ بَنِي آدَمَ يَمَسُّهُ الشَّيْطَانُ يَوْمَ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ إِلاَّ مَرْيَمَ وَابْنَهَا

No child is born but he is pricked by the satan and he begins to weep because of the pricking of the satan except the son of Mary and his mother. [AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Every newborn from the offspring of Adam is touched by Satan with his finger, except for Maryam (Mary), the daughter of Imran, and her son 'Isa (Jesus)."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ يَمَسُّهُ الشَّيْطَانُ بِأُصْبُعِهِ إِلَّا مَرْيَمَ ابْنَةَ عِمْرَانَ وَابْنَهَا عِيسَى

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every newborn from the offspring of Adam is touched by Satan with his finger, except Mary and her son."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ يَمَسُّهُ الشَّيْطَانُ بِإِصْبَعِهِ إِلَّا مَرْيَمَ وَابْنَهَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every newborn from the descendants of Adam is touched by Satan with his finger, except for Mary and her son."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ يَمَسُّهُ الشَّيْطَانُ بِإِصْبَعِهِ إِلَّا مَرْيَمَ وَابْنَهَا

[AI] "Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ: Every son of Adam is pricked by Satan at his sides with his finger, except for Jesus son of Mary. When he was born, Satan went to prick him, but he was pricked in the curtain instead."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ كُلُّ بَنِي آدَمَ يَطْعُنُ الشَّيْطَانُ بِإِصْبَعِهِ فِي جَنْبِهِ حِينَ يُولَدُ إِلَّا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ ذَهَبَ يَطْعُنُ فَطَعَنَ فِي الْحِجَابِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every child of Adam is afflicted with a touch from Satan at the time of birth, except for Maryam and her son. Verily, when his mother gave birth to him (i.e. Maryam), she said: 'I seek refuge for her and her offspring in You (Allah) from Satan, the accursed.' So Allah protected her and accepted her with an excellent acceptance and caused her to grow in a good manner. And her mother died, so her aunt took care of her and was the mother of Yahya."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ كُلُّ وَلَدِ آدَمَ الشَّيْطَانُ نَائِلٌ مِنْهُ تِلْكَ الطَّعْنَةَ وَلَهَا يَسْتَهِلُّ الْمَوْلُودُ صَارِخًا إِلَّا مَا كَانَ مِنْ مَرْيَمَ وَابْنِهَا فَإِنَّ أُمَّهَا حِينَ وَضَعَتْهَا يَعْنِي أُمَّهَا قَالَتْ إِنِّي أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ فَضَرَبَ دُونَهَا الْحِجَابَ فَطَعَنَ فِيهِ فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَنٍ وَأَنْبَتَهَا نَبَاتًا حَسَنًا وَهَلَكَتْ أُمُّهَا فَضَمَّتْهَا إِلَى خَالَتِهَا أُمِّ يَحْيَى

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Every child of Adam is touched by Shaytan on the day his mother gives birth to him, except for Maryam and her son 'Isa, peace be upon them."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «كُلُّ بَنِي آدَمَ يَمَسُّهُ الشَّيْطَانُ يَوْمَ وَلَدَتْهُ أُمُّهُ إِلَّا مَرْيَمَ وَابْنَهَا عِيسَى عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every newborn is touched by Satan, causing it to cry loudly, except for Mary, daughter of Imran, and her son. If you wish, recite: 'Indeed, I seek refuge for her and her offspring from Satan, the expelled.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا مِنْ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ إِلَّا يَمَسُّهُ الشَّيْطَانُ فَيَسْتَهِلُّ صَارِخًا إِلَّا مَرْيَمَ ابْنَةَ عِمْرَانَ وَابْنَهَا إِنْ شِئْتُمُ اقْرَءُوا {إِنِّي أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ} »

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ قال ما من مولود إلاَّ نخسه الشيطان إلاَّ ابن مريم وأمه قال أَبُو هُرَيرة اقرؤُوا إن شئتم { وإني أعيذها بك وذريتها من الشيطان الرجيم}

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet, ﷺ : "When a child is born, they inherit a stab from Satan, as narrated by Ibn Khuzaymah from Al-Fadl ibn Ya'qub Al-Jazari, from 'Abdul 'Ala with this chain of narration. In addition to this hadith, the Prophet added: That is the stab of Satan that all the children of Adam are afflicted with, except for Mary and her son. When Mary gave birth to her son, she said, 'Indeed, I seek refuge for her and her offspring with You from Satan, the expelled one.' (Surah Al-Imran, verse 36) So a veil was struck near her, and he struck in it, meaning in the veil. According to the narration of Al-A'raj from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, ﷺ : Satan stabs every child of Adam on their side when their mother gives birth to them, except for Jesus, the son of Mary. He attempted to stab him, but instead struck the veil. Abu Hurayrah said: I witnessed the cry that the baby makes when their mother gives birth to them, and indeed it is from Satan."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا اسْتَهَلَّ الْمَوْلُودُ وَرِثَ وَرَوَاهُ ابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ الْجَزَرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ وَزَادَ مَوْصُولًا بِالْحَدِيثِ تِلْكَ طَعْنَةُ الشَّيْطَانِ كُلُّ بَنِي آدَمَ نَائِلٌ مِنْهُ تِلْكَ الطَّعْنَةَ إِلَّا مَا كَانَ مِنْ مَرْيَمَ وَابْنِهَا؛ فَإِنَّهَا لَمَّا وَضَعَتْهَا أُمُّهَا قَالَتْ {إِنِّي أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ} [آل عمران 36] فَضُرِبَ دُونَهَا بِحِجَابٍ فَطَعَنَ فِيهِ يَعْنِي فِي الْحِجَابِ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ كُلُّ بَنِي آدَمَ يَطْعَنُ الشَّيْطَانُ فِي جَنْبِهِ حِينَ تَلِدُهُ أُمُّهُ إِلَّا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ ذَهَبَ يَطْعَنُ فَطَعَنَ فِي الْحِجَابِ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ رَأَيْتُ هَذِهِ الصَّرْخَةَ الَّتِي يَصْرِخُهَا الصَّبِيُّ حِينَ تَلِدُهُ أُمُّهُ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْهَا

("إذَا اسْتهَلَّ المولود وَرِث، تلك طعنةُ الشَّيطانِ كُلُّ بَنى آدمَ نَائلُ منه تلك الطعنةَ -إلا ما كان من مريمَ وابنِها- فإنّها لما وضعتْها أمُّها- قالتْ: إني أُعِيذها بكَ وذُريتَها مِنَ الشيطَانِ الرَّجِيم، فَضُرِبَ دونَها بحجابٍ فطَعن فيه".

"كُلُّ ابْنِ آدَمَ يَمَسُّهُ الشَّيطَانُ يَوْمَ وَلَدَتْه أُمُّهُ إلا مَرْيَمَ وَابْنَهَا".

"كُلُّ ابْن آدَمَ يطْعَن الشَّيطَانِ فِي جَنْبَيهِ بِإِصْبَعَيهِ حِينَ يُولَدُ غَيرَ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ، ذَهَبَ يَطْعَن فَطَعَنَ فِي الحِجَاب".

"مَا مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ مَوْلُودٌ إلا يَمسُّهُ الشَّيطَانِ حين يولد فيستهل صارخًا من مس الشيطان غير مَرْيَمَ وَابْنَهَا".
