Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw some expectoration on the wall of the mosque; he took gravel and scraped it off and said, "If anyone of you wanted to spit he should neither spit in front of him nor on his right but he could spit either on his left or under his left foot."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي جِدَارِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَتَنَاوَلَ حَصَاةً فَحَكَّهَا فَقَالَ إِذَا تَنَخَّمَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلاَ يَتَنَخَّمَنَّ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ وَلاَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَلْيَبْصُقْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ الْيُسْرَى

Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw some expectoration on the wall of the mosque; he took gravel and scraped it off and said, "If anyone of you wanted to spit, he should neither spit in front of him nor on his right but could spit either on his left or under his left foot."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي حَائِطِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَتَنَاوَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَصَاةً فَحَتَّهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ إِذَا تَنَخَّمَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلاَ يَتَنَخَّمْ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ وَلاَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَلْيَبْصُقْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ الْيُسْرَى

[Machine] The Prophet saw impurity in the direction of the mosque, so he cleared it with a piece of wood or something similar. Then he said, "When one of you stands up for prayer, he should not spit in front of him or to his right, for his right is the angel's place of honor. Rather, he should spit to his left or under his left foot."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي قِبْلَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَحَتَّهَا بِمَرْوَةٍ أَوْ بِشَيْءٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَلَا يَتَنَخَّمَنَّ أَمَامَهُ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ فَإِنَّ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ مَلَكًا وَلَكِنْلِيَتَنَخَّمْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ الْيُسْرَى

The Messenger of Allah saw some sputum on the wall of the mosque. He picked up a stone and scraped it off, then he said, "If anyone of you needs to spit, he should not spit in fro not of him or to his right; let him spit to his right; let him spit to his left or under his left foot." أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ أَخْبَرَاهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي حَائِطِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَتَنَاوَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَصَاةً فَحَتَّهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ إِذَا تَنَخَّمَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَلَا يَتَنَخَّمْ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَلْيَبْصُقْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ الْيُسْرَى

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ saw some phlegm on the wall of the mosque, so he picked up a stone and spat on it. Then he said, 'If any one of you feels the need to blow their nose, they should not blow it in front of their face or to the right, but should spit it to the left or under their left foot.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي جِدَارِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَتَنَاوَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَصَاةً وَحَتَّهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِذَا تَنَخَّمَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَتَنَخَّمَنَّ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَلْيَبْصُقْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ»

[Machine] He heard Abu Huraira and Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri saying: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw nasal discharge in the direction of the qibla (the direction of prayer), so he took a pebble, rubbed it and then said, 'None of you should blow his nose in the direction of the qibla, nor should he blow it with his right hand. He should blow his nose with his left hand or below his left foot.'"

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ يَقُولَانِ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى فِي الْقِبْلَةِ نُخَامَةً فَتَنَاوَلَ حَصَاةً فَحَكَّهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ «لَا يَتَنَخَّمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الْقِبْلَةِ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَلْيَبْصُقْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ رِجْلِهِ الْيُسْرَى»

[Machine] Hurayrah and Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri reported that they saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ spit on a flaw in the direction of the qibla (the direction of prayer). Then he said, "One of you should not spit in the direction of the qibla or to his right, but should spit to his left or under his left foot."

هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ؓ يَقُولَانِ رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نُخَامَةً فِي الْقِبْلَةِ فَتَنَاوَلَ حَصَاةً فَحَكَّهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ لَا يَتَنَخَّمُ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الْقِبْلَةِ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَلْيَبْصُقْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ رِجْلِهِ الْيُسْرَى

"إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى نُخَامَةً في قِبْلَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَحَكَّهَا بِمَدَرةٍ أَوْ بِشَىْءٍ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِذَا قَامَ أَحدُكُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَلَا يَتَنَخَّمَنَّ أمَامَهُ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، فَإِنَّ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ مَلَكًا، وَلَكِنْ يَتَنَخَّمُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدمِهِ الْيُسْرَى".
