ذِكْرُ الْإِبَاحَةِ لِلْجُنُبِ تَرَكَ الِاغْتِسَالِ عِنْدَ إِرَادَةِ النَّوْمِ بَعْدَ غَسْلِ الْفَرْجِ وَالْوُضُوءِ لِلصَّلَاةِ

ibnhibban:1214 – Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman al-Sāmī > Yaḥyá b. Ayyūb al-Maqābirī > Ismāʿīl b. Jaʿfar > ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] He heard Ibn Umar say that Umar mentioned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he experiences sexual impurity (i.e., wet dream) at night. So, he (the Prophet) instructed him to perform ablution and wash his private parts, then go to sleep.  

ابن حبّان:١٢١٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمَقَابِرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ ذَكَرَ عُمَرُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ تُصِيبُهُ الْجَنَابَةُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ «فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ وَيَغْسِلَ ذَكَرَهُ ثُمَّ يَنَامَ»

ʿUmar bin Al-Khattab told Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "I became Junub at night." Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Perform ablution after washing your private parts and then sleep."

muslim:306c – Yaḥyá b. Yaḥyá > Mālik > ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār > Ibn ʿUmar

Umar b. al-Khattab said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, that he became Junbi during the night. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: Perform ablution, wash your sexual organ and then go to sleep.  

مسلم:٣٠٦c – وَحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

ذَكَرَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ تُصِيبُهُ جَنَابَةٌ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأْ وَاغْسِلْ ذَكَرَكَ ثُمَّ نَمْ  

nasai:260 – Qutaybah > Mālik > ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār > Ibn ʿUmar

"Umar mentioned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he became Junub at night, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Perform Wudu' and wash you penis, then sleep.'"  

النسائي:٢٦٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

ذَكَرَ عُمَرُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ تُصِيبُهُ الْجَنَابَةُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأْ وَاغْسِلْ ذَكَرَكَ ثُمَّ نَمْ  

abudawud:221 – ʿAbdullāh b. Maslamah > Mālik > ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

‘Umar b. al-Khattab said to the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) that he became sexually defiled at night (asking him what he should do). The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) said : You should perform ablution and wash your penis and then sleep.  

أبو داود:٢٢١ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

malik:2-77 – Yaḥyá > Mālik > ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Dinar that Abdullah ibn Umar related that Umar ibn al-Khattab mentioned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he would sometimes become junub in the night. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Do wudu and wash your penis, and then sleep."  

مالك:٢-٧٧ – حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ ذَكَرَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ يُصِيبُهُ جَنَابَةٌ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ تَوَضَّأْ وَاغْسِلْ ذَكَرَكَ ثُمَّ نَمْ  

ahmad:5967 – al-Faḍl b. Dukayn > Sufyān > ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] Omar asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying, "I experience sexual impurity (janabah) at night." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed him to wash his private parts, perform ablution, and go to sleep.  

أحمد:٥٩٦٧ – حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ

سَأَلَ عُمَرُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتُصِيبُنِي الْجَنَابَةُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَغْسِلَ ذَكَرَهُ وَيَتَوَضَّأَ وَيَرْقُدَ  

ahmad:5442 – ʿAffān > ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Muslim > ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

[Machine] Omar informed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that impurity had come upon him at night, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed him to wash his genitals and perform ablution, then go to sleep.  

أحمد:٥٤٤٢ – حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ عُمَرَ ذَكَرَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّ الْجَنَابَةَ تُصِيبُهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَغْسِلَ ذَكَرَهُ وَيَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ يَنَامَ  

ahmad:5190 – Yaḥyá > Sufyān > ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] Umar asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "I experience seminal emission during the night. Should I wash my private parts and perform ablution?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed him to wash his private parts and then perform ablution.  

أحمد:٥١٩٠ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ

سَأَلَ عُمَرُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ تُصِيبُنِي الْجَنَابَةُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ؟ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَغْسِلَ ذَكَرَهُ وَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ  

ahmad:5314 – ʿAbd al-Raḥman Mālik b. Anas > ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

darimi:783 – ʿUbaydullāh b. Mūsá > Sufyān > ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, asked the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and said, "Can I experience sexual impurity (Janaba) during the night?" So he instructed him to "wash his private parts, perform ablution, and then go to sleep."  

الدارمي:٧٨٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

سَأَلَ عُمَرُ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ تُصِيبُنِي الْجَنَابَةُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ؟ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ «يَغْسِلَ ذَكَرَهُ وَيَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ يَرْقُدَ»
