[Machine] He said to a man sitting with him, while he was talking to his companions, "Come closer to me." So the man said to him, "May Allah keep you, I cannot ask you what those people have asked you." He said, "Come closer to me and I will tell you about the mentioned prophets in the book of Allah. I will tell you about Adam, he was a farmer. I will tell you about Noah, he was a carpenter. I will tell you about Idris, he was a tailor. I will tell you about Dawud, he was a metalworker. I will tell you about Musa, he was a shepherd. I will tell you about Ibrahim, he was a farmer. I will tell you about Salih, he was a merchant. I will tell you about Sulaiman, Allah granted him kingship and he used to fast six days in the beginning of the month, three days in the middle of the month, and three days at the end of the month. He had nine hundred horses and three hundred mules. And I will tell you about the son of the virgin, Isa, son of Maryam, that he would not save anything for the next day and he would say, 'The One who keeps me alive until tonight will also give me food tonight, and the One who feeds me tonight will also keep me alive tomorrow.' He used to worship Allah the entire night until morning, and he used to travel during the day. He used to fast the entire year and stand in prayer the entire night. And I will tell you about the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , that he used to tend to the sheep of his family with excellence. He used to fast, so we would say he does not break his fast, and he would break his fast, so we would say he does not fast. And we have never seen him not fasting for an entire month. He used to fast three days every month. He was the gentlest among people, with the best character and the most knowledge. And I inform you about Hawwa (Eve) that she used to weave poetry and turn it around with her hand, and she used to clothe herself and her children. And Maryam, the daughter of 'Imran, used to do that as well."

[Machine] I entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was in the mosque, and I seized the opportunity to have a private conversation with him. He said to me, "O Abu Dharr, the mosque has a greeting." I asked him, "What is its greeting, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Two units of prayer." So, I performed the two units of prayer, then he turned towards me and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, you have commanded me to pray, so what is prayer?" He said, "It is a prescribed act of worship. Whoever wishes may perform it in lesser or greater quantity." I asked him, "O Messenger of Allah, which actions are most beloved to Allah?" He said, "Belief in Allah." Then, he mentioned the hadith until he said, "O Messenger of Allah, how many prophets are there?" He said, "One hundred and twenty-four thousand prophets." I asked, "How many of them are messengers?" He said, "Three hundred and thirteen." And he mentioned the rest of the hadith.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sent after eight thousand prophets, among them four thousand from the Children of Israel: Ibrahim, Wazid, and Ahyan.
[Machine] The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "I am the last of a thousand prophets, or even more." It is a weak narration.
[Machine] "He said, 'Indeed, there were seventy prophets who traveled the path of righteousness through the Fajj Al-Rawha' and performed Hajj wearing garments made of wool. And indeed, seventy prophets prayed in the Mosque of Khayf.'" Al-Dhahabi did not mention it in his summary."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Among my brothers in the line of Prophets, there were eight thousand prophets. Then came Isa (Jesus), the son of Maryam (Mary), and after him, it is me." This is its chain of narrators, and it is authentic.
[Machine] The Prophet peace be upon him arrived in Medina and the Jews say, "Indeed, this world is only for seven thousand years." Adh-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the summary.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The age of Adam was one thousand years." Ibn Abbas said, "Between Adam and Noah there were one thousand years, between Noah and Abraham there were one thousand years, between Abraham and Moses there were seven hundred years, between Moses and Jesus there were five hundred years, and between Jesus and Muhammad ﷺ there were six hundred years."
[Machine] "To his people, I extinguish the fire of discord from you," Khalid said. Umarah bin Ziyad, a man from his people, said to him, "By Allah, Khalid, you have never spoken to us except with the truth. What is your concern with the fire of discord claiming that you can extinguish it?" Khalid departed and Umarah bin Ziyad went with him, along with thirty men from his people, until they reached it. It was coming out of a split in a mountain from a region called Harrah Ashja.' Khalid drew a line for them and made them sit in it. Then he said, "If I am too slow for you, do not call me by my name." The fire came out as if they were light-colored camels following one another. Khalid faced it and struck it with his staff, saying, "Disappear, disappear, disappear, every guidance claimed by the son of Ra`iya Al-Mi'zzi." Khalid claimed that he would not leave it until the fire had gone out. He held it by his hand until he entered it with the fire. Then he slowed down with them. Umarah bin Ziyad said, "By Allah, if your leader was still alive, he would have come out to you later." They said, "Call him by his name." They said, "Indeed, he has forbidden us from calling him by his name." "Call him by his name," they said. So he came out to them, holding his head, and said, "Did I not forbid you from calling me by my name? By Allah, you killed me. Bury me. When the red camels pass by you, there will be a blind donkey. Kick it, for you will find me alive." So they buried him. When the red camels passed by them, there was a blind donkey, so they dug him up. Umarah bin Ziyad said, "Don't tell Mu'dhar that we dug up our dead. By Allah, we will never dig him up again." He informed them that his wife had two scrolls. If something difficult comes upon you, look at them, for you will find what you are asking about. He said, "No menstrual blood will touch them." When they returned to his wife, they asked her about them, and she brought them out while she was menstruating. He took whatever knowledge was in them and said, "Abu Yunus said that Samaak bin Harb was asked about him (Khalid). He said, 'That is a Prophet whom his people abandoned.'" Abu Yunus said that Samaak bin Harb said, "When the son of Khalid bin Sinan came to the Prophet, he said, 'Welcome to the son of my cousin.'" Al-Hakim narrated this.
