24. Book of History of the Prophets and Messengers ؑ
[Machine] Ayoub ibn Amoos was the messenger of Allah who was tested by Iblis, the enemy of Allah, with his troops, horses, and men to tempt him and distract him from the remembrance of Allah. But Allah protected him and Iblis found no way to reach him. So Allah bestowed tranquility and patience upon Ayoub to endure the affliction that he was tested with. And Allah called him "a servant who always turns to Allah" (Quran 38:44). Ayoub was a tall man with curly hair and wide eyes, and he had a handsome appearance. On his forehead was written "the patient one who endures affliction." He had a short neck, broad chest, sturdy legs, and strong arms. He would give to widows and support them earnestly, advising them for the sake of Allah, the Almighty.
[Machine] By Allah, I have endured hardship and poverty that my people have never sent someone with a loaf of bread to feed you. So, invoke Allah to cure you." He said, "Woe to you! We were in blessings for seventy years and now we are in affliction for seven years."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, the Prophet Ayyub (Job), peace be upon him, endured his affliction for fifteen years, during which his close relatives and distant relatives abandoned him, except for two of his brothers who were among his closest brothers. They used to visit him in the morning and evening. One day, one of them said to the other, 'By Allah, Ayyub has committed a sin that no one among the world's inhabitants has committed.' His companion asked, 'What is that?' He replied, 'For eighteen years, Allah has not shown him any mercy, so He has removed whatever he had.' When they went to Ayyub, the man could not bear it until he mentioned it to him. Ayyub said to him, 'I do not know what you are saying, other than that Allah knows that I used to command the two men who disputed with each other to mention Allah, so return to my home and I will purify them out of dislike for mentioning Allah except in the truth.' He used to go out for his needs, and when he fulfilled his need, his wife would hold his hand until he came back. One day, he took longer than usual, so Allah revealed to Ayyub in the place where he was, 'Strike the ground with your foot: This is to wash yourself with cold water and for a drink.' His wife scooped it up, and he went to her, and Allah removed his affliction completely. He was better than ever before. When she saw him, she said, 'May Allah bless you! Did you see the Prophet of Allah, this afflicted man? By Allah, I have never seen anyone resemble him more than you, when he was healthy.' He replied, 'Indeed, I am that person.' He had two plots of land: one for wheat and the other for barley. Allah sent two clouds, one over each field. The cloud over the wheat field rained gold until it was full. The cloud over the barley field rained silver until it was full."

[Machine] "From the Prophet ﷺ , he said: When Allah cured Job (Ayoub), He showered him with a hail of golden locusts. Job started grabbing them with his hand and placing them in his garment. It was said to him, 'O Job, don't you have enough?' He replied, 'Who can ever have enough of Your mercy?'"
[Machine] "Job was afflicted for seven years thrown on the dung heap of the holy house." The Golden did not mention it in the summary.
[Machine] The translation into English is as follows: "The age of Job was ninety-three years when he made a will before his death, leaving it to his son Hawmal. Allah then sent his son Bashr bin Ayyub as a prophet and named him Dhul Kifl. He was commanded to call people to the worship of Allah. Job lived in Sham (Syria) until he passed away at the age of seventy-five. Bashr then left his will to his son Abdan. After them, Allah sent Shuayb as a prophet. This narration is narrated by Abdul Mannan bin Idris, who has been proven to be a liar."
