24. Book of History of the Prophets and Messengers ؑ
٢٤۔ كِتَابُ تَوَارِيخِ الْمُتَقَدِّمِينَ مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَالْمُرْسَلِينَ
[Machine] Then Elijah, the Prophet of Allah, was a companion of mountains and deserts in which he secluded himself to worship his Lord. He had a large head, wide chest, thin calves, and there was a red mole on his head. Allah raised him to the land of Sham (Syria), but he did not ascend to the heavens. He left behind him the prophethood to be inherited by Al-Yasa' (Elisha) after him.
«ثُمَّ كَانَ إِلْيَاسُ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَاحِبَ جِبَالٍ وَبَرِيِّةٍ يَخْلُو فِيهَا يَعْبُدُ رَبَّهُ وَكَانَ ضَخْمَ الرَّأْسِ خَمِيصَ الْبَطْنِ دَقِيقَ السَّاقَيْنِ وَكَانَ فِي رَأْسِهِ شَامَةٌ حَمْرَاءُ وَإِنَّمَا رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَى أَرْضِ الشَّامِ وَلَمْ يَصْعَدْ بِهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَأَوْرَثَ الْيَسَعَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ النُّبُوَّةَ»
