The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The prayer of a person who does not perform ablution is not valid, and the ablution of a person who does not mention the name of Allah (in the beginning) is not valid.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ صَلاَةَ لِمَنْ لاَ وُضُوءَ لَهُ وَلاَ وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى عَلَيْهِ

The Messenger of Allah said: "There is no ablution for one who does not mention the Name of Allah (before doing it)."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'There is no prayer for one who does not have ablution, and there is no ablution for one who does not mention the Name of Allah (before it).'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ صَلاَةَ لِمَنْ لاَ وُضُوءَ لَهُ وَلاَ وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'There is no prayer for one who does not have ablution, and there is no ablution for one who does not mention the Name of Allah (before it).'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ صَلاَةَ لِمَنْ لاَ وُضُوءَ لَهُ وَلاَ وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ»

[AI] I heard the messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "There is no prayer for the one who does not have ablution, and there is no ablution for the one who does not mention the name of Allah upon it. And one who does not believe in Allah does not believe in me, and one who does not believe in me does not believe in the Ansar (the supporters of the Prophet Muhammad).

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا وُضُوءَ لَهُ وَلَا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرْ اسْمَ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ مَنْ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِي وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ بِي مَنْ لَا يُحِبُّ الْأَنْصَارَ

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "There is no prayer for the one who does not have ablution, and there is no ablution for the one who does not mention the name of Allah upon it, and whoever does not believe in Allah does not believe in me, and whoever does not love the Ansar does not believe in me."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا وُضُوءَ لَهُ وَلَا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرْ اسْمَ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ مَنْ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِي وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ بِي مَنْ لَا يُحِبُّ الْأَنْصَارَ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever does not believe in Allah does not believe in me, and whoever does not believe in me does not love the Ansar (the Helpers). There is no prayer for the one who does not have ablution, and there is no ablution for the one who does not mention the name of Allah upon it."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِاللهِ مَنْ لَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِي وَلَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِي مَنْ لَا يُحِبُّ الْأَنْصَارَ وَلَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا وُضُوءَ لَهُ وَلَا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرْ اسْمَ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ

[AI] "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'There is no prayer for the one who does not have ablution, and there is no ablution for the one who does not mention the name of Allah upon it, and the one who does not believe in Allah does not believe in me, and the one who does not believe in me does not love the Ansar.'"

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا وُضُوءَ لَهُ وَلَا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرْ اسْمَ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ مَنْ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِي وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ بِي مَنْلَا يُحِبُّ الْأَنْصَارَ

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'There is no prayer for one who does not have ablution, and there is no ablution for one who does not mention the name of Allah upon it.' Muhammad bin Isma'il bin Abi Fudayk narrated it from Muhammad bin Musa al-Makhzumi.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا وُضُوءَ لَهُ وَلَا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ» رَوَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُوسَى الْمَخْزُومِيِّ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no prayer for someone who does not have ablution, and there is no ablution for someone who does not mention the name of Allah upon it." Ali ibn Bundar Az-Zahid informed me, narrating from Umar ibn Muhammad ibn Jubayr, narrating from Abu Bakr Al-Athram, who said, "I heard Ahmad ibn Hanbal being asked about someone who performs ablution but does not mention (the name of Allah). Ahmad replied, 'The best that can be said about this hadith is what Kathir ibn Zayd has narrated.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا وُضُوءَ لَهُ وَلَا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ» فَأَخْبَرَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ بُنْدَارٍ الزَّاهِدُ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْأَثْرَمُ وَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ حَنْبَلٍ وَسُئِلَ عَمَّنْ يَتَوَضَّأُ وَلَا يُسَمِّي فَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ أَحْسَنُ مَا يُرْوَى فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ كَثِيرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to say, "There is no prayer for the one who does not have ablution, and there is no ablution for the one who does not mention Allah upon it, and there is no prayer for the one who does not send blessings upon the Prophet of Allah in his prayer." This hadith was not narrated by them according to their condition, as they did not narrate it through 'Abdul-Muhyi.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ «لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا وُضُوءَ لَهُ وَلَا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ وَلَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَى نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ فِي صَلَاتِهِ» «لَمْ يُخَرَّجْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَلَى شَرْطِهِمَا فَإِنَّهُمَا لَمْ يُخَرِّجَا عَبْدَ الْمُهَيْمِنِ» عبد المهيمن واه

[AI] She heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "There is no prayer for one who does not have ablution, and there is no ablution for one who does not mention the name of Allah the Almighty upon it, and he does not believe in Allah who does not believe in me, and he does not love the Ansar." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the summary in this context.

أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا وُضُوءَ لَهُ وَلَا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى عَلَيْهِ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ مَنْ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِي وَلَا يُحِبُّ الْأَنْصَارَ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص في هذا الموضع

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no prayer for one who does not have ablution, and there is no ablution for one who does not mention the name of Allah upon it, and there is no prayer for one who does not send blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ , and there is no prayer for one who does not love the Ansar."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا وُضُوءَ لَهُ وَلَا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ وَلَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا يُصَلِّي عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَلَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا يُحِبُّ الْأَنْصَارَ»

[AI] When this verse was revealed, "Do not eat of what has not been dedicated to Allah’s name," Faris sent to the people of Quraysh to challenge Muhammad and say to him, "What you slaughter with your hand using a knife is halal (permissible), and what Allah slaughters with a golden sword is haram (prohibited)." Then this verse was revealed, "Indeed, the devils inspire their allies [among men] to argue with you." He (Muhammad) said, "The devils are from Faris and their allies are from Quraysh."

لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ} أَرْسَلَتْ فَارِسُ إِلَى قُرَيْشٍ أَنْ خاصِمُوا مُحَمَّدًا وَقُولُوا لَهُ مَا تَذْبَحُ أَنْتَ بِيَدِكَ بِسِكِّينٍ فَهُوَ حَلَالٌ وَمَا ذَبَحَ اللهُ بِشَمْشِيرٍ منْ ذَهَبٍ فَهُوَ حَرَامٌ فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {وَإِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ لَيُوحُونَ إِلَى أَوْلِيَائِهِمْ لِيُجَادِلُوكُمْ} قَالَ «الشَّيَاطِينُ منْ فَارِسَ وَأوْلِيَاؤُهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no prayer without ablution, and there is no ablution for one who does not mention the name of Allah on it. And one who does not believe in Allah does not believe in me, and one who does not believe in me does not recognize the rights of the Ansar."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا صَلَاةَ إِلَّا بِوُضُوءٍ وَلَا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللهِ عَلَيْهِ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ مَنْ لَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِي وَلَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِي مَنْ لَمْ يَعْرِفْ حَقَّ الْأَنْصَارِ»

"مَا آمَنَ بِالله مَنْ لَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِى، وَمَا آمَنَ بي مَنْ لَمْ يُحِبَّ الأنْصَارَ، وَلَا صَلاةَ إلا بِوُضُوءٍ، وَلَا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لم يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ الله عَلَيهِ".

"There is no faith for the one who has no trustworthiness, and there is no prayer for the one who has no ablution."

"لا إِيمَانَ لِمَنْ لا أَمَانَةَ لَهُ، وَلا صَلاةَ لِمَنْ لا وُضُوءَ لَهُ".

"لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَا وُضُوءَ لَهُ، وَلَا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرْ اسْمَ الله - تَعَالَي - عَلَيْهِ، وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ بِالله مَنْ لا يُؤْمِنُ بِي، وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ بِي مَنْ لَا يُحِبُّ الأَنْصَارَ".

"لَا صَلاَةَ لِمَنْ لَا وُضُوءَ لَهُ، وَلَا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ الله عَلَيْهِ، وَلَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ، وَلَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يُحِبَّ الأَنْصَارَ".

"لا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسمَ اللهِ عَلَيهِ".

"عَنْ أَبِى الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ: لَا إيمَانَ لِمَنْ لَا صَلَاةَ لَهُ ولا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لا وضُوءَ لَهُ".
