The Prophet ﷺ said, "The best charity is that which is practiced by a wealthy person. And start giving first to your dependents."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best alms is that which you give when you are rich, and you should start first to support your dependants."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ

"The best of charity is that which is given when you are self-sufficient, and the upper hand is better than the lower hand, and start with those for whom you are responsible."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ

"The Messenger of Allah said: "The best kind of charity is that which is given when you are rich, and the upper hand is better than the lower hand, and start with those for whom you are responsible."'

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ

"The Messenger of Allah said: "The best of charity is that which is given when you are self-sufficient, and start with those for whom you are responsible."'

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying The best sadaqah is that which leaves a competence ; and begin with those for whom you are responsible.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ خَيْرَ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا تَرَكَ غِنًى أَوْ تُصُدِّقَ بِهِ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ

"The best of charity is that which is given when you are self-sufficient, and the upper hand is better than the lower hand, and start with those for whom you are responsible." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2534)

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ

[Machine] "From the Prophet ﷺ , he said: The best charity is that which is given while one is still wealthy, and begin with those who depend on you. The upper hand is better than the lower hand."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The best charity is that which is given when one is still rich, and let one of you begin by supporting those who are dependent upon him."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا تُصُدِّقَ بِهِ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَلْيَبْدَأْ أَحَدُكُمْ بِمَنْ يَعُولُ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The upper hand is better than the lower hand (i.e. he who gives in charity is better than him who takes it). One should start giving first to his dependents. And the best object of charity is that which is given by a wealthy person (from the money which is left after his expenses). And whoever abstains from asking others for some financial help, Allah will give him and save him from asking others, Allah will make him self-sufficient." (Using translation from Bukhārī 1427)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ»

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم خير الصدقة ما كان عن ظهر غنى وليبدأ أحدكم بمن يعول

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قال خير الصدقة ما كان عن ظهر غنى واليد العليا خير من اليد السفلى وابدأ بمن تعول

اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ من اليد السفلى وخير الصدقة ما ترك غنى وابدأ بمن تعول

اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لا صدقة إلا عن ظهر غنى واليد العليا خير من اليد السفلى وابدأ بمن تعول

اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قال اليد العيا خير من اليد السفلى وخير الصدقة ما كانت عن ظهر غنىوَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَإلا معمر

"اليدُ العُليَا خَيرٌ مِنَ اليَدِ السُّفْلَى، وابْدَأ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ، وَخَيرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنىً، وَمن يَسْتَغْنِ يُغْنِه اللهُ".

"أَنْفِقْها على عيالِك، فَإنَّما الصَدقَة عن ظهر غِنًى، وابدأ بمن تعول" .

The most excellent Sadaqa or the best of Sadaqa is that after giving which the (giver) remains rich and the upper hand is better than the lower hand, and begin from the members of your household. (Using translation from Muslim 1034)

"أفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَة: ما كان عن ظهرِ غنىً، واليدُ العُليَا خير من اليدِ السُّفْلى، وابْدَأ بمن تَعُولَ" .

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The best charity is that which is practiced by a wealthy person. And start giving first to your dependents." (Using translation from Bukhārī 1426)

"أفْضَلُ الصَّدَقِةَ ما كان عن ظهرِ غنىً، وابدأ بمن تَعُولُ".

"خَيْرُ الصدقة ما كان عن ظهر غنًى، واليد العليا خَيْرٌ من اليد السُّفلى، وابدأ بمن تعول".

"خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَة مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْر غنًى، وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ، وَالْيَدُ العُليَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ اليَدِ السُّفْلَى".

"خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى، وَابْدَأْ بمَنْ تَعُولُ، وَلَا تُلَامُ عَلَى كفَافٍ".

"خَيْرُ الصَّدقَةِ ما كان عن ظهر غِنًى، وابدأ بمن تَعُولُ".
