The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If Adam's son had a valley full of gold, he would like to have two valleys, for nothing fills his mouth except dust. And Allah forgives him who repents to Him."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «لَوْ أَنَّ لاِبْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ وَادِيَانِ وَلَنْ يَمْلأَ فَاهُ إِلاَّ التُّرَابُ وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ».

If there were two valleys of gold for the son of Adam, he would long for another one. and his mouth will not be filled but with dust, and Allah returns to him who repents.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَوْ كَانَ لاِبْنِ آدَمَ وَادٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ أَحَبَّ أَنَّ لَهُ وَادِيًا آخَرَ وَلَنْ يَمْلأَ فَاهُ إِلاَّ التُّرَابُ وَاللَّهُ يَتُوبُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ

“If the son of Adam had two valleys of wealth, he would love to have a third along with them. Nothing could satisfy him except dust. And Allah accepts the repentance of the one who repents.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ لاِبْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيَيْنِ مِنْ مَالٍ لأَحَبَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ مَعَهُمَا ثَالِثٌ وَلاَ يَمْلأُ نَفْسَهُ إِلاَّ التُّرَابُ وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ

“If the son of Adam had two valleys of wealth, he would love to have a third along with them. Nothing could satisfy him except dust. And Allah accepts the repentance of the one who repents.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4235)

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "If the son of Adam were to possess a valley full of gold, he would still seek another valley, but nothing would fill his mouth except dust. Allah will forgive those who sincerely repent."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ كَانَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ الْتَمَسَ مَعَهُ وَادِيًا آخَرَ وَلَنْ يَمْلَأَ فَمَهُ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ ثُمَّ يَتُوبُ اللهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ

[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "If the son of Adam had a valley filled with wealth, he would desire to have another one similar to it. But nothing fills the son of Adam's soul except dust, and Allah forgives those who repent."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَوْ أَنَّ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيًا مَالًا لَأُحِبَّ أَنَّ لَهُ مِثْلَهُ وَلَا يَمْلَأُ نَفْسَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ»
