The Prophet ﷺ did istighfar three times after every prayer and asked for peace

muslim:591Dāwūd b. Rushayd > al-Walīd > al-Awzāʿī > Abū ʿAmmār Shaddād b. ʿAbdullāh > Abū Asmāʾ > Thawbān

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished his prayer, he would seek forgiveness three times and say:

"O Allah, You are Peace, and from You is peace. Blessed are You, Possessor of majesty and honor."

al-Walid said: I said to al-Awzai, “How is the seeking of forgiveness?” He said: You say: I seek forgiveness from Allah, I seek forgiveness from Allah.

A description of virtues of transformative righteous acts

muslim:223Isḥāq b. Manṣūr > Ḥabbān b. Hilāl > Abān > Yaḥyá > Zayd > Abū Salāam > Abū Mālik al-Ashʿarī

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “(1) Purification is half of faith; (2) al-ḥamdu lillāh (All praise is due to Allah) fills the scale; (3) subḥān Allāh  (Glory be to Allah) and al-ḥamdu lillāh fill what is between the skies and the earth; (4) prayer is nur (light); (5) charity is a proof; (6) patience is illumination; (7) and the Quran is an argument for you or against you.”

“Every person goes out in the morning; one sells his own self and thereby either frees it or ruins it.”

Congregational prayer for the sake of God elevates one by degrees, and for whom Angels continue to supplicate

muslim:649fAbū Bakr b. Abū Shaybah And ʾAbū Kurayb > Abū Muʿāwiyah > Abū Kurayb > Abū Muʿāwiyah > al-Aʿmash > Abū Ṣāliḥ > Abū Hurayrah

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The reward for prayer performed by a person in congregation is more than twenty times greater than that of the prayer performed in one’s house or the marketplace. When one performs wuḍūʾ perfectly and then proceeds to the mosque with the sole intention of performing prayer, then for every step he takes towards the mosque, he is upgraded one degree in reward and one of his sins is eliminated until he enters the mosque."

"And when he enters the mosque, he is considered as performing prayer as long as it is the prayer which stops him ˹from leaving the mosque˺; and the angels keep on supplicating Allah for him as long as he remains in his place of prayer. They say: ‘O Allah! Have mercy on him; O Allah! forgive his sins; O Allah! accept his repentance.' ˹This continues, so long as he does cause harm ˹upon anyone˺ in it, or pass wind in it ˹breaking his wuḍūʾ˺ (in a different wording: or speak ˹to anyone˺).”

Permissibility of combining prayers as a resident

tirmidhi:187Hannād > Abū Muʿāwiyah > al-Aʿmash > Ḥabīb b. Abū Thābit > Saʿīd b. Jubayr > Ibn ʿAbbās

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ combined Ẓuhr and ʿAsr ˹prayers˺ and the Maghrib and Isha ˹prayers˺ in Madinah without being in a state of fear, nor due to rain. It was asked of Ibn ʿAbbās: What did he intend by that?. He said: He wanted that his Ummah does not experience any hardship.

Nothing ends greed except death

ahmad:12803Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > Qatādah > Anas b. Mālik

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ – and I do not know whether something was Revealed down upon him or he used to say, "If the son of Adam owned two valleys, he would certainly wish for" or "certaintly want a third valley. And nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except the dirt ˹of the grave˺, yet Allah turns to whoever repents."

suyuti:16078aSalmān al-Fārisī

[AI] “In Rajab there is a day and a night: whoever fasts that day and stands in prayer that night will be like one who has fasted for a hundred years and stood in prayer for a hundred years. It is when three days remain of Rajab, and in it Allah, the Exalted, sent Muhammad.”

Bayhaqī's Shuʿab al-Īmān and he said that it is munkar from Salmān al-Fārisī
