[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "Verily, the most severe punishment among people in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection will be for the image-makers."  

البيهقي:١٤٥٦٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ صُبَيْحٍ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ مَسْرُوقٍ فِي دَارِ يَسَارِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ فَرَأَى مَسْرُوقٌ فِي صُفَّتِهِ التَّمَاثِيلَ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا عِنْدَ اللهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الْمُصَوِّرُونَ  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنِ الْحُمَيْدِيِّ وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَرَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ

We were with Masruq at the house of Yasar bin Numair. Masruq saw pictures on his terrace and said, "I heard ʿAbdullah saying that he heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "The people who will receive the severest punishment from Allah will be the picture makers.'"
