Reports on early female maturity

I saw in Sanaa a grandmother who was twenty-one years old: she had menstruated at nine years old and gave birth at ten, and the daughter menstruated at nine years old and gave birth at ten.

It is mentioned from al-Hasan b. Salih that he said: I came across a neighbor of ours who became a grandmother at twenty-one years old.

And from Mughirah al-Dabbi, that he said: I had a wet dream when I was twelve years old. And we narrated from Aishah ᴿᴬ that she said: "When a girl reaches nine years, she is a woman," meaning, and Allah knows best, if she menstruates, then she is a woman.

رَأَيْتُ بِصَنْعَاءَ جَدَّةً بِنْتَ إِحْدَى وَعِشْرِينَ سَنَةً، حَاضَتِ ابْنَةَ تِسْعٍ وَوَلَدَتِ ابْنَةَ عَشْرٍ، وَحَاضَتِ الْبِنْتُ ابْنَةَ تِسْعٍ وَوَلَدَتِ ابْنَةَ عَشْرٍ.

وَيُذْكَرُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: أَدْرَكْتُ جَارَةً لَنَا صَارَتْ جَدَّةً بِنْتِ إِحْدَى وَعِشْرِينَ سَنَةً.

وَعَنْ مُغِيرَةَ الضَّبِّيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: احْتَلَمْتُ وَأَنَا ابْنُ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً. وَرُوِّينَا عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْجَارِيَةُ تِسْعَ سِنِينَ فَهِيَ امْرَأَةٌ، تَعْنِي وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ فَحَاضَتْ فَهِيَ امْرَأَةٌ.
