2. Menstruation
٢۔ كِتَابُ الْحَيْضِ
[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote a letter to the people of Yemen containing matters related to obligations, religious practices, and fines, and he sent it with 'Amr ibn Hazm. He mentioned in it a hadith in which he said, 'The Quran should not be touched except by someone who is pure.' He sent it to others as well, and Allah knows best. It is also mentioned regarding Ibn 'Umar that he disliked for a menstruating woman to touch the mushaf (Quran)."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَتَبَ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ بِكِتَابٍ فِيهِ الْفَرَائِضُ وَالسُّنَنُ وَالدِّيَاتُ وَبَعَثَ بِهِ مَعَ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ وَفِيهِ قَالَ وَلَا يَمَسُّ الْقُرْآنَ إِلَّا طَاهِرٌ أَرْسَلَهُ غَيْرُهُ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ وَيُذْكَرُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَرِهَ لِلْحَائِضِ مَسَّ الْمُصْحَفِ
[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said, "Neither the menstruating woman nor the person in a state of sexual impurity should recite anything from the Quran. This is not acceptable."
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَقْرَأِ الْحَائِضُ وَلَا الْجُنُبُ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ لَيْسَ هَذَا بِالْقَوِيِّ
[Machine] About Ata', Abu Al-‘Aliyah, Al-Nakha‘i, and Sa‘eed ibn Jubair in regards to menstruating women, the Quran should not be recited.
عَنْ عَطَاءٍ وَأَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ وَالنَّخَعِيِّ وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي الْحَائِضِ لَا تَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ
