The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "(1) He who alleviates the suffering of a brother out of the sufferings of this world, Allah would alleviate his suffering from the sufferings of the Day of Resurrection, (2) and he who makes things easy for the hard-pressed, Allah would make things easy for him in the Hereafter, (3) and he who conceals ˹the faults˺ of a Muslim, Allah would conceal ˹his faults˺ in the world and in the Hereafter. (4) Allah is at the aid of a servant so long as the servant is at the aid of his brother."

"(5) and he who treads the path in search of knowledge, Allah will make the path to Paradise easy for him through it, (6) and those who assemble in a house among the houses of Allah (mosques), and recite the Book of Allah and they learn and teach the Quran to each other, there would descend upon them sakīnah (tranquility) and mercy would envelop them, and the angels would surround them, and Allah mentions them in the presence of those near Him, (7) and one who is held back in doing ˹good˺ deeds, his ˹noble˺ lineage will not make him go ahead."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «(١) مَنْ نَفَّسَ عَنْ مُؤْمِنٍ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ الدُّنْيَا، نَفَّسَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ۔ (٢) وَمَنْ يَسَّرَ عَلَى مُعْسِرٍ، يَسَّرَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ۔ (٣) وَمَنْ سَتَرَ مُسْلِمًا، سَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ۔ (٤) وَاللَّهُ فِي عَوْنِ الْعَبْدِ مَا كَانَ الْعَبْدُ فِي عَوْنِ أَخِيهِ۔»

«(٥) وَمَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ عِلْمًا، سَهَّلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهِ طَرِيقًا إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ۔ (٦) وَمَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ اللَّهِ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَيَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ، إِلاَّ نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ، وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ، وَحَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ، وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ۔ (٧) وَمَنْ بَطَّأَ بِهِ عَمَلُهُ لَمْ يُسْرِعْ بِهِ نَسَبُهُ۔»

I bear witness to the fact that both Abu Huraira and Abu Sa'id Khudri were present when Messenger of Allah may peace be upon him) said: The people do not sit but they are surrounded by angels and covered by Mercy, and there descends upon them tranquillity as they remember Allah, and Allah makes a mention of them to those who are near Him. This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Shu'ba with the same chain of transmitters.

أَنَّهُمَا شَهِدَا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لاَ يَقْعُدُ قَوْمٌ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ ﷻ إِلاَّ حَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَنَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ

from the Prophet ﷺ who said, "No people get together in a house of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah, and learning it together among themselves, but sakīnah (tranquility) comes down upon them, Mercy envelops them, angels surround them, and Allah makes a mention of them among those who are with Him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «مَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى، يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ، وَيَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ، إِلاَّ نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ، وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ، وَحَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ، وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ۔»

He bears witness, from Abu Hurairah and Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri, that they bear witness, from the Messenger of Allah, that he said: “There is no group that remembers Allah, except that the angels encompass them, mercy covers them, and tranquility descends upon them: and Allah remembers (mentions) them before those who are with Him.”

أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ عَلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّهُمَا شَهِدَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ إِلاَّ حَفَّتْ بِهِمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَنَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever alleviates a burden among the burdens of the world for his brother, Allah alleviates a burden among the burdens of the Day of Judgement for him. And whoever covers (the faults) of a Muslim, Allah covers him in the world and in the Hereafter. And whoever makes things easy for one in dire straits, Allah makes things easy for him in the world and the Hereafter. Allah is helping as long as the (His) Slave is helping his brother. And whoever takes a path to gain knowledge, Allah makes a path to Paradise easy for him. And no people sit in a Masjid reciting Allah's Book, studying it among themselves, except that tranquility descends upon them and they are enveloped in the mercy, and surrounded by the angels. And whoever is slow in his deeds, his lineage shall not speed him up."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ نَفَّسَ عَنْ أَخِيهِ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ الدُّنْيَا نَفَّسَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ سَتَرَ مُسْلِمًا سَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمَنْ يَسَّرَ عَلَى مُعْسِرٍ يَسَّرَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَاللَّهُ فِي عَوْنِ الْعَبْدِ مَا كَانَ الْعَبْدُ فِي عَوْنِ أَخِيهِ وَمَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ عِلْمًا سَهَّلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ طَرِيقًا إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَمَا قَعَدَ قَوْمٌ فِي مَسْجِدٍ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَيَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِلاَّ نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَحَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَمَنْ أَبْطَأَ بِهِ عَمَلُهُ لَمْ يُسْرِعْ بِهِ نَسَبُهُ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever relieves a Muslim of some worldly distress, Allah will relieve him of some of the distress of the Day of Resurrection, and whoever conceals (the faults of) a Muslim, Allah will conceal him (his faults) in this world and the Day of Resurrection. And whoever relives the burden from a destitute person, Allah will relieve him in this world and the next. Allah will help His slave so long as His slave helps his brother. Whoever follows a path in pursuit of knowledge, Allah will make easy fro him a path to paradise. No people gather in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and teaching it to one another, but the angels will surround them, tranquility will descend upon them, mercy will envelop them and Allah will mention them to those who are with Him. And whoever is hindered because of his bad deeds, his lineage will be of no avail to him.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ نَفَّسَ عَنْ مُؤْمِنٍ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ الدُّنْيَا نَفَّسَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ سَتَرَ مُسْلِمًا سَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَمَنْ يَسَّرَ عَلَى مُعْسِرٍ يَسَّرَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَاللَّهُ فِي عَوْنِ الْعَبْدِ مَا كَانَ الْعَبْدُ فِي عَوْنِ أَخِيهِ وَمَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ عِلْمًا سَهَّلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهِ طَرِيقًا إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَمَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ اللَّهِ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَيَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِلاَّ حَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَنَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ وَمَنْ أَبْطَأَ بِهِ عَمَلُهُ لَمْ يُسْرِعْ بِهِ نَسَبُهُ

"No people sit in a gathering remembering Allah, But the angels surround them, mercy covers them, tranquility descends upon them and Allah remembers them before those who are with Him."

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ يَشْهَدَانِ بِهِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا جَلَسَ قَوْمٌ مَجْلِسًا يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ فِيهِ إِلاَّ حَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَتَغَشَّتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَتَنَزَّلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ

"No people sit in a gathering remembering Allah, But the angels surround them, mercy covers them, tranquility descends upon them and Allah remembers them before those who are with Him." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3791)

أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ أَنَّهُمَا شَهِدَا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا يَقْعُدُ قَوْمٌ يَذْكُرُونَ اللهَ إِلَّا حَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَنَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whenever a group of people gather in one of the houses of Allah to recite and learn the Book of Allah, and they study it among themselves, the angels surround them, mercy covers them, and Allah mentions them among those who are with Him. And there is no person who takes a path seeking knowledge, except that Allah makes easy for him, through it, a path to Paradise. And whoever is too slow in his actions, his lineage will not make him hasten."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يَجْتَمِعُونَ فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ اللهِ ﷻ يَقْرَءُونَ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ كِتَابَ اللهِ ﷻ يَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِلَّا حَفَّتْ بِهِمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ وَمَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يَسْلُكُ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ بِهِ الْعِلْمَ إِلَّا سَهَّلَ لَهُ بِهِ _ أَوْ سُهِّلَ بِهِ _ طَرِيقًا الْجَنَّةِ وَمَنْ يُبْطِئُبِهِ عَمَلُهُ لَا يُسْرِعُ بِهِ نَسَبُهُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ نَفَّسَ عَنْ مُؤْمِنٍ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ الدُّنْيَا نَفَّسَ اللهُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ سَتَرَ مُسْلِمًا سَتَرَهُ اللهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَمَنْ يَسَّرَ عَلَى مُعْسِرٍ يَسَّرَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَاللهُ فِي عَوْنِ الْعَبْدِ مَا كَانَ الْعَبْدُ فِي عَوْنِ أَخِيهِ وَمَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ عِلْمًا سَهَّلَ اللهُ لَهُ بِهِ طَرِيقًا إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَمَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ اللهِ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللهِ وَيَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِلَّا نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ السَّكِينَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمْ الرَّحْمَةُ وَحَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللهُ ﷻ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ وَمَنْ أَبْطَأَ بِهِ عَمَلُهُ لَمْ يُسْرِعْ بِهِ نَسَبُهُ

[Machine] "Whenever a group of people gather in one of the houses of Allah to study and discuss the Book of Allah among themselves, the angels lower their wings in humility and tranquility. They encompass them with their wings until they are immersed in their discussions. If someone traverses a path seeking knowledge, Allah makes their path to Paradise easy. And those whose actions are slow in progressing, their lineage will not hasten them."

«مَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ اللَّهِ يَتَذَاكَرُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَيَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِلَّا أَظَلَّتْهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ بِأَجْنِحَتِهَا حَتَّى يَخُوضُوا فِي حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِ وَمَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَبْتَغِي بِهِ الْعِلْمَ سَهَّلَ اللَّهُ طَرِيقَهُ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَمَنْ أَبْطَأَ بِهِ عَمَلُهُ لَمْ يُسْرِعْ بِهِ نَسَبُهُ»

أَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُمَا شَهِدَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «مَا جَلَسَ قَوْمٌ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ إِلَّا حَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَنَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No group of people gathers in a mosque, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, except that tranquility descends upon them, mercy enfolds them, the angels surround them, and Allah mentions them to those in His presence. And whoever is slow in their actions will not be expedited by their lineage."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا جَلَسَ قَوْمٌ فِي مَسْجِدٍ مِنْ مَسَاجِدِ اللَّهِ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَيَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِلَّا نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَحَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ وَمَنْ أَبْطَأَ بِهِ عَمَلُهُ لَمْ يُسْرِعْ بِهِ نَسَبُهُ»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no group of people who remember Allah except that the angels surround them, and mercy envelops them, and Allah mentions them in the gathering with Him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يَذْكُرُونَ اللهَ إِلَّا حُفَّتْ بِهِمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللهُ فِي الْمَلَأِ عِنْدَهُ»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no group of people who gather in a house from the houses of Allah, learning and studying the Book of Allah among themselves, except that the angels surround them, mercy covers them, and Allah mentions them to those who are with Him. And there is no person who walks on a path seeking knowledge, except that Allah makes his path to Paradise easy for him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يَجْتَمِعُونَ فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ اللَّهِ ﷻ؛ يَتَعَلَّمُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَيَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِلَّا حَفَّتْ بِهِمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ وَمَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يَسْلُكُ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ الْعِلْمَ إِلَّا سَهَّلَ اللَّهُ ﷻ لَهُ بِهِ طَرِيقًا إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ»

"مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يَذْكُرُون اللهَ إِلا حَفَّتْ بهمُ الملائِكة وَغَشِيتْهُمُ الرَّحْمةُ وَنَزلتْ عَليهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ وَذكرهُم اللهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدهُ".

"مَا جَلَسَ قَوْمٌ في مَسْجد من مَسَاجِد الله يَتْلُونَ كتَابَ الله وَبَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَينَهُمْ إِلا نَزَلَتْ عَلَيهِمْ السَّكينَةُ، وَغَشَيَتْهُم الرحْمَةُ، وَحَفَّتْهُمْ المَلائكَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمْ اللهُ فيمَنْ عنْدَه، وَمَنْ أبْطَأ بِه عَمَلُهُ لَمْ يُسْرعْ بِه نسَبُهُ".

"مَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ على ذِكْرٍ إلا حَفَّتْهُم الملائكَةُ، وَغَشِيَتْهَم الرَّحْمَةُ".

"ما اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ في بَيتٍ من بُيُوتِ اللهِ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللهِ وَيَتَدَارسونَهُ بَينَهُمْ إِلَّا نَزَلَتْ عَلَيهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ، وَغَشِيَتْهُمْ الرَّحْمَةُ، وَحَفَّتْهُمُ المَلائِكَةُ، وَذَكَرَهُم اللهُ فيمَن عنْدَهُ".

"مَا جَلَسَ قَوْم مُسْلمُونَ مَجْلسًا يَذْكُرُونَ اللهَ فيه إِلَّا حَفَّتْهُمْ المَلائكَةُ، وَغَشَيَتْهم الرَّحْمَةُ وَنَزَلَتْ (*) عَلَيهِمْ السكينَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمْ اللهُ فيمَنْ عنْدَهُ".

"لا يَقْعُدُ قَوْمٌ يَذْكُرُونَ الله إِلا حَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلائِكَةُ، وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ، وَنَزَلَتْ عَلَيهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ، وَذَكرَهُمُ اللهُ فِيمَنْ عنْدَهُ".

"مَنْ نَفَّسَ عَنْ مُؤْمِنٍ كرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ الدُّنْيَا، نَفَّسَ اللهُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كرَبِ يَوْمِ القِيَامَةِ، وَمَنْ يَسَّرَ عَلَى مُعْسِرٍ، يَسَّرَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ، وَمَنْ سَتَر مُسْلِمًا سَتَرَهُ اللهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا والاخِرةِ، واللهُ فِي عَوْنِ العَبْدِ مَا كَانَ العَبدُ فِي عَوْنِ أَخيهِ، وَمَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَلتَمِسُ مِنهَا عِلمًا، سَهَّلَ اللهُ لَهُ بِه طَرِيقًا إِلَى الجَنَّةِ، وَمَا اجْتَمع قَوْم فِي بَيتٍ مِنْ بِيُوتِ اللهِ -تَعَالى- يَتْلُونَ كتَابَ اللهِ وَيَتَدَارسُونَهُ بَينَهُمْ، إِلا نَزَلَتْ عَلَيهِم السَّكِينةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرحمَةُ، وحَفَّتهُم الملائِكَةُ، وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللهُ فيِمَنْ عِنْدَهُ، وَمَنْ أبْطَأَ بِه عَمَلُهُ لَمْ يُسْرعْ بِهِ نَسَبُهُ".
