I bear witness concerning Abu Hurayrah and Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri that they both testified about the Prophet ﷺ that he said: “No people sit remembering Allah, the Exalted, except that the angels surround them, mercy envelops them, tranquility descends upon them, and Allah mentions them among those who are with Him.”

أَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّهُمَا شَهِدَا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «لاَ يَقْعُدُ قَوْمٌ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ ﷻ إِلاَّ حَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ، وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ، وَنَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ، وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ».

from the Prophet ﷺ who said, "No people get together in a house of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah, and learning it together among themselves, but sakīnah (tranquility) comes down upon them, Mercy envelops them, angels surround them, and Allah makes a mention of them among those who are with Him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «مَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى، يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ، وَيَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ، إِلاَّ نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ، وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ، وَحَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ، وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ۔»

He bears witness, from Abu Hurairah and Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri, that they bear witness, from the Messenger of Allah, that he said: “There is no group that remembers Allah, except that the angels encompass them, mercy covers them, and tranquility descends upon them: and Allah remembers (mentions) them before those who are with Him.”

أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ أَنَّهُمَا شَهِدَا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا يَقْعُدُ قَوْمٌ يَذْكُرُونَ اللهَ إِلَّا حَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَنَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No group of people gathers in a mosque, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, except that tranquility descends upon them, mercy enfolds them, the angels surround them, and Allah mentions them to those in His presence. And whoever is slow in their actions will not be expedited by their lineage."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا جَلَسَ قَوْمٌ فِي مَسْجِدٍ مِنْ مَسَاجِدِ اللَّهِ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَيَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِلَّا نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَحَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ وَمَنْ أَبْطَأَ بِهِ عَمَلُهُ لَمْ يُسْرِعْ بِهِ نَسَبُهُ»

قال أشهد على أبي هريرة وعلى أبي سعيد أنهما شهدا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أنه قال ما جلس قوم يذكرون الله تبارك وتعالى إلا حفتهم الملائكة وغشيتهم الرحمة وذكرهم الله تبارك وتعالى فيمن عنده وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ من غير هذا الوجه ولا نعلمه يُرْوَى عن أبي سعيد إلا من هذا

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no group of people who remember Allah except that the angels surround them, and mercy envelops them, and Allah mentions them in the gathering with Him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يَذْكُرُونَ اللهَ إِلَّا حُفَّتْ بِهِمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللهُ فِي الْمَلَأِ عِنْدَهُ»

"ما اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ في بَيتٍ من بُيُوتِ اللهِ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللهِ وَيَتَدَارسونَهُ بَينَهُمْ إِلَّا نَزَلَتْ عَلَيهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ، وَغَشِيَتْهُمْ الرَّحْمَةُ، وَحَفَّتْهُمُ المَلائِكَةُ، وَذَكَرَهُم اللهُ فيمَن عنْدَهُ".

"مَا جَلَسَ قَوْمٌ في مَسْجد من مَسَاجِد الله يَتْلُونَ كتَابَ الله وَبَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَينَهُمْ إِلا نَزَلَتْ عَلَيهِمْ السَّكينَةُ، وَغَشَيَتْهُم الرحْمَةُ، وَحَفَّتْهُمْ المَلائكَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمْ اللهُ فيمَنْ عنْدَه، وَمَنْ أبْطَأ بِه عَمَلُهُ لَمْ يُسْرعْ بِه نسَبُهُ".

"مَا جَلَسَ قَوْم مُسْلمُونَ مَجْلسًا يَذْكُرُونَ اللهَ فيه إِلَّا حَفَّتْهُمْ المَلائكَةُ، وَغَشَيَتْهم الرَّحْمَةُ وَنَزَلَتْ (*) عَلَيهِمْ السكينَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمْ اللهُ فيمَنْ عنْدَهُ".

"مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يَذْكُرُون اللهَ إِلا حَفَّتْ بهمُ الملائِكة وَغَشِيتْهُمُ الرَّحْمةُ وَنَزلتْ عَليهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ وَذكرهُم اللهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدهُ".

"لا يَقْعُدُ قَوْمٌ يَذْكُرُونَ الله إِلا حَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلائِكَةُ، وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ، وَنَزَلَتْ عَلَيهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ، وَذَكرَهُمُ اللهُ فِيمَنْ عنْدَهُ".
