1.6. Rest of the Ten Promised Paradise (2/7)
[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ said: "Come close to me." Then he mentioned it.
[Machine] To the family of Zubair: Zubair ibn al-Awwam reported to them that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A bear came to you" and he mentioned it.
A man said to az-Zubair: “Shall I kill ʿAli for you?” He said: “How would you kill him?” He said: “I will assassinate him.”He said: “No, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Faith prohibits assassination; no believer should resort to that.ʿ
When this surah was revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: ʿVerily, you (O Muhammad is) will die, and verily, they (too) will die. Then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will be disputing before your Lord” (az-Zumar [39:30,31]), az-Zubair said: “O Messenger of Allah, will we face again the disputes we had among us in this world in addition to other sins?” He said: “Yes, you will face these disputes again until everyone who has a right has been given his right.” AzZubair said: “By Allah, the matter is very serious.”
I heard ‘lkrimah (recite): “And (remember) when We sent towards you (Muhammad ﷺ” and it was recited to Sufyan from az-Zubair, ʿa group (three to ten persons) of the jinn, (quietly) listening to the Qurʿanʿ (al-Ahqaf [46:29]). He said: “[That was] in Nakhlah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was praying Ishaʿ, and they (the jinn) just made round him a dense crowd as if sticking one over the other (in order to listen to the Prophet’s ﷺ recitation)” (al-Jinn [72:19]). Sufyan said: “They were one above the other, like thick masses of clouds one above the other.”
Someone who heard him told me that az-Zubair bin al ‘Awwam ؓ said: “We used to pray Jumu’ah with the Prophet ﷺ, then we would leave and seek the shade of the fortress, but we would not find any shade except (an area) the width of our feet.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to address us and remind us of the annals of Allah, until we could see that on his face (because of alarm). It was as if he was warning people against an enemy that would attack them in the morning. If he had just recently met with Jibreel, he would not smile until Jibreel had departed from him.
This verse was revealed when we were present with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : ʿAnd fear the Fitnah (affliction and trial) which affects not in particular (only) those of you who do wrong (but it may afflict all the good and the bad people)ʿ. (al-Anfal [8:25]). We started saying: “What is this fitnah? And we never thought that it would happen as it did.”
1.6.10 [Machine] Musannaf of Abu Ishaq Saad bin Abi Waqas
[Machine] So, I met Mujahid and asked him, and I mentioned to him the statement of Tawus. He said, "May Allah have mercy on Abu Abdur Rahman. Did he not hear the statement of Sa'id bin Malik that we stoned the Jamarah during our Hajj with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ? Then we sat together and discussed. Some of us said, 'I stoned with six,' some of us said, 'I stoned with seven,' some of us said, 'I stoned with eight,' and some of us said, 'I stoned with nine.' And they did not see any harm in that."
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited him when he was sick in Makkah. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, I fear dying in the land from which I migrated, just as Sa'd ibn Khawlah died. Please pray to Allah to heal me." The Prophet ﷺ said, "O Allah, heal Sa'd. O Allah, heal Sa'd. O Allah, heal Sa'd." He then said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have a lot of wealth and no heir except for a daughter. Should I leave all my wealth as inheritance?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "No." He asked, "Should I leave two-thirds of it as inheritance?" The Prophet ﷺ again said, "No." He asked again, "Should I leave half of it as inheritance?" Once again, the Prophet ﷺ said, "No." He then asked, "Should I leave one-third of it as inheritance?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "One-third and even that is too much. Your expenditure from your wealth is charity, and your expenditure on your family is charity, and your expenditure on your relatives is charity. It is better for you to leave your family well-provided rather than leaving them dependent on others."
[Machine] His brother, Umar, set off to Saad with his livestock, outside of the city. When Saad saw him, he said, "I seek refuge in Allah from the harm of this rider." When Umar reached him, he said, "O father, are you pleased with me being a Bedouin with your livestock while people are vying for power in the city?" Saad struck Umar's chest and said, "Be quiet. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying that Allah loves a pious, rich, and concealed servant."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever eats seven ajwa dates on an empty stomach in the morning, nothing harmful will affect them that day until evening. Fulayh said, 'And I think he also said if one eats them in the evening, nothing harmful will affect them until morning.'" Umar said to Aamir, "Look, O Aamir, at what you are narrating about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ." Aamir said, "I bear witness that I did not lie about Saad, and Saad did not lie about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."
[Machine] Saad rode to his palace in Al-Aqiq, and he found a boy hitting or cutting a tree, so he snatched it from him. When Saad returned, the family of the boy approached him and asked him to return what he took from their boy. He said, "I swear by Allah that I will not return anything given by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he refused to return it to them."
'From (the signs of) the son of Adam's prosperity, is his satisfaction with what Allah decreed for him, and from the son of Adam's misery is his avoiding to request guidance from Allah, and from the son of Adam's misery is his anger with what Allah decreed for him." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2151)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "From the happiness of the son of Adam are three things, and from the misery of the son of Adam are three things. From the happiness of the son of Adam is a righteous woman, a good home, and a good means of transportation. And from the misery of the son of Adam is an evil woman, a bad home, and a bad means of transportation."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "There will be tribulation in which the one who is sitting will be better than the one who is standing, and the one who is standing will be better than the one who is walking. And the one who is walking will be better than the one who is running." He said: "And I see that the one who is lying down will be better than the one who is sitting."
[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the tribe of Banu Najiyah: 'I am from them and they are from me.'"
[Machine] The son of my cousin Saad bin Malik mentioned the Banu Najiyah in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he said, "They are part of me, but Saad was not mentioned in it."
"If as little as what can be placed on a fingernail of what is in Paradise were to become apparent, it would have beautified all the far corners of the heavens and the earth. And if a man among the people of Paradise were to appear and his bracelets were to become apparent, it would have blotted out the light of the sun, as the sun blots out the light of the stars." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2538)
“Make a niche-grave for me, and block it up with bricks as was done for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1556)
[Machine] Al-Khuzaiy is the translation of الْخُزَاعِيُّ in English.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said about wiping over the socks, "There is no harm in that."
never heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ say unto one living and moving about that he was in Paradise except to 'Abdullah b. Salim. (Using translation from Muslim 2383)
Both of my ears heard the Messenger of Allah saying this: He who claimed the fatherhood of anyone else besides his real father knowingly (committed a great sin) ;Paradise is forbidden to him. Abu Bakra asserted that he too heard it from the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him ). (Using translation from Muslim 63a)
“The hand of the thief is to be cut off for the price of a shield. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2586)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered me to proclaim the days of Mina as days for eating and drinking, so there is no fasting during them, meaning the days of Tashriq.
[Machine] What lies between the outskirts of the city is sacred, as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has forbidden it, just as Ibrahim forbade Makkah. O Allah, bestow two blessings in it and bless them in their measuring and expanding.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was brought a dish and he ate from it. Then, a piece of the food remained, so he said, "A man from this valley, from the people of Paradise, will come and eat this remaining piece." Sa`d said, "I had left my brother `Umair performing ablution, so I said, 'It is `Umair.' Then `Abdullah bin Salam came and ate it."
[Machine] Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said regarding ablution on leather socks that there is no harm in it.
Sulayman ibn AbuAbdullah said: I saw Sa'd ibn AbuWaqqas seized a man hunting in the sacred territory of Medina which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had declared to be sacred. He took away his clothes from him. His patrons came to him and spoke to him about it, but he replied: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared this territory to be sacred, saying: If anyone catches someone hunting in it he should take away from him his clothes. So I shall not return to you a provision which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has given me, but if you wish I shall pay you its price. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2037)
[Machine] He used to pray the last night prayer in the mosque of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , then he would perform Witr prayer with one unit that he would not exceed. It is said to him, "Do you perform Witr with one unit that you do not exceed, O Abu Ishaq?" He would say, "Yes, indeed, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'The one who does not sleep until he performs Witr is determined.'"

[Machine] I said, "Except that I passed by Uthman in the mosque and greeted him, and he filled his eyes with tears from me, but he did not return my greeting. Omar sent for Uthman and called him, saying, "What prevented you from returning the greeting to your brother?" Uthman said, "I didn't do anything." Saad said, "I said, 'Yes, he did.' Uthman said, 'Yes, and I seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him. You passed by me unexpectedly while I was just mentioning a word that I had heard from the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ . No, by Allah, I have not mentioned it except that my sight is overcast and my heart is in a state of confusion." Saad said, "I will inform you about it. The Messenger of Allah mentioned to us the first supplication, then an Arab came and occupied him until the Messenger of Allah got up, so I followed him. When I feared that he would get to his house before me, I stamped my foot on the ground, and the Messenger of Allah turned to me and said, 'Who is this, Abu Ishaq?' I said, 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah.' He said, 'Come here.' I said, 'No, by Allah, except that you mentioned to us the first supplication, and then this Arab came and occupied you.' He said, 'Yes, it is the supplication of Dhul-Nun (Yunus), when he was in the belly of the fish, 'There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.' [Quran 21:87]. No Muslim ever supplicates to his Lord with it in any matter except that Allah answers him."

[Machine] Ali accompanied the Prophet ﷺ until they reached Thaniyyat al-Wada', and Ali was crying and saying, "Will you leave me with the women and children?" So he (the Prophet) said, "Do you not want to be to me as Harun was to Musa, except that there is no prophethood after me?"

The Prophet ﷺ said: I hope my community will not fail to maintain their position in the sight of their Lord if He delays them half a day. Sa'd was asked: How long is half a day? He said: It is five hundred years. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4350)

"If as little as what can be placed on a fingernail of what is in Paradise were to become apparent, it would have beautified all the far corners of the heavens and the earth. And if a man among the people of Paradise were to appear and his bracelets were to become apparent, it would have blotted out the light of the sun, as the sun blots out the light of the stars." [Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "There are two prayers that should not be performed after them: the Fajr prayer until the sun rises, and the Asr prayer until the sun sets."
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and ˹the narrator˺ mentioned something similar.
I saw on the right side of Messenger of Allah ﷺ and on his left side two persons with white clothes on the Day of Uhtid fighting a desperate fight, and I saw them neither before nor after that. (Using translation from Muslim 2306b)

Messenger of Allah, may Allah keep you happy all your life. Then Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I wonder at these women who were with me and no sooner did they hear your voice, they immediately went behind the curtain. Thereupon 'Umar said: Messenger of Allah, you have more right that they should fear you. Then Umar (addressing the women) said: O ye enemies of yourselves, do you fear me and fear not the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? They said: Yes, you are harsh and strict as compared to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Thereupon, Messenger of Allah (maypeace be upon him) said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if satan would encounter you in the way he would certainly take a different way from that of yours. (Using translation from Muslim 2396)

[Machine] Saad said, "I complained to me about my complaint in Makkah, so the Messenger of Allahﷺ came to me. He said, 'I said, O Messenger of Allah, I have left behind wealth with no one but one daughter. Should I bequeath two-thirds of my wealth to her and leave her one-third?' He said, 'No.' I said, 'Should I bequeath half of my wealth to her and leave her half?' He said, 'No.' I said, 'Should I bequeath one-third of my wealth to her and leave her two-thirds?' He said, 'One-third and one-third are a lot.' I said, 'So I put his hand on my forehead, and he wiped my face, chest, and stomach, and said, 'O Allah, heal Saad and complete his migration for him.' I have always felt that I can still feel the coolness of his hand on my liver until this hour."
