[Machine] "We used to say in prayer 'peace be upon our Lord,' then it was said to us 'say peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah.' So when you say that, you have greeted those in the heavens and the earth."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to teach us tashahhud as he would teach us a Sura of the Qur'an. (Using translation from Muslim 403b)
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to teach us the Tashah-hud as he used to teach us a Surah of the Qur’an. He used to say: ‘At-Tahiyyatul-Mubarakatus salawatut-tayyibatu lillah; As-salamu ‘alayka ayyuhan-Nabiyyu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu; as-salamu ‘alayna wa ‘ala ‘ibadillahis-salihin. Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa Rasuluhu (All blessed compliments and good prayers are due to Allah; peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings; peace be upon us and upon the righteous slaves of Allah. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger).’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 900)
[Machine] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: "Greetings belong to Allah, and prayers and good words. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. O Allah, bless Muhammad and his household as You blessed Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious. O Allah, bless us with them. O Allah, bless Muhammad and his household as You blessed Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious. O Allah, bless us with them. The prayers of Allah and the prayers of the believers upon Muhammad, the unlettered Prophet, ﷺ and the mercy of Allah and His blessings."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ taught them the tashahhud prayer:
"All greetings, prayers, and good acts belong to Allah alone. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught us the Tashahhud: "All compliments, prayers, and pure words are due to Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger." Al-Ajlh raised it and Hammad bin Salamah did not raise it.
[Machine] "O Allah, I ask You for all good, both that which I know and that which I do not know. O Allah, I ask You for the good that Your righteous servants have asked You for, and seek refuge in You from the evil that Your righteous servants have sought refuge from. O Allah, our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."
[Machine] I heard Abdullah saying, "When one of you sits in prayer, let him say the greetings, then recite the Tashahhud, and then let him say, 'O Allah, I ask You for all the good that I know of and that I do not know of. And I seek refuge with You from all evil that I know of and that I do not know of. O Allah, I ask You for the good that Your righteous servants ask of You, and I seek refuge with You from the evil that Your righteous servants seek refuge from. Our Lord, give us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to die with the righteous. Our Lord, grant us what You promised us through Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not fail in Your promise."

[Machine] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has been given the comprehensive words, and he used to teach us how to say in prayer when we sit in it, 'Greetings be to Allah, and prayers and good deeds; peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and on the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah.' Then he would ask for what he desired thereafter and seek from His mercy and forgiveness with a few words that he did not elongate the sitting with. He used to say, 'I love that your supplication to Allah when one of you sits in prayer and recites the greeting, be that he says afterwards, Subhanakallahumma, la ilaha ghairuka, ighfirli dhunubi wa aslih li amali. Innaka taghfiru dhanoubi liman tashaa'wa wa antal ghafoorur rahim. Ya Ghaffar, ghfirli. Ya Tawwab, tub alayya. Ya Rahman, rahmni. Ya Afuw, 'fu anni. Ya Ra'ufa, ar'uf bi. [Machine] And he said, "Verily, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught us how to say in the prayer when we sit in it: 'Greetings, prayers, and good acts are for Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah.' Then he asks for what seems good to him afterward and desires it from His mercy and forgiveness. These are brief words that do not prolong the sitting. He used to say, 'I love that your supplication to Allah when one of you sits in prayer and finishes the greetings is that he says thereafter: 'Glory be to You, O Allah, and there is no god except You. Forgive me my sins and rectify my actions. Verily, You forgive sins for whom You will, and You are the Forgiving, the Merciful. O Forgiver, forgive me. O Acceptor of repentance, accept my repentance. O Most Merciful, have mercy on me. O Pardoner, pardon me. O Compassionate, be compassionate with me. O Lord, guide me to thank Your blessings that You have bestowed upon me and surround me with the excellence of Your worship, O Lord. I ask You for all good and seek refuge in You from all evil, O Lord. Open for me with good and seal for me with good and grant me longing for Your meeting without harmful harm or misleading temptation, and protect me from sins, and whoever you protect from sins, then indeed, you have mercy on him, and that is the great success. Then whatever of supplication you have, let it be in humility and sincerity, for indeed, He loves the humility of His servant to Him."

[Machine] "It was read to him or he read it, 'Indeed, Ibrahim was a devout nation.' So Abdullah said, 'Indeed, Mu'adh was a devout nation.' They said, 'O Abu Abdur Rahman, indeed, Ibrahim was a devout nation.' So Abdullah said, 'And do you know what a nation is? The one who teaches people goodness and the devout, who obeys Allah and His Messenger.'"
[Machine] Abdullah, Mu'adh was a devout servant of Allah, following the true path and not being one of the polytheists. Then, a brave man named Forwat forgot and said, "Indeed, it was Ibrahim." And he was asked, "And who forgot?" Indeed, we used to compare Mu'adh to Ibrahim. He was then asked about the nation, and he said, "The teacher of goodness." And he was asked about the devout one, and he said, "Obedient to Allah and His Messenger."
[Machine] Indeed, Mu'adh was a nation obedient to Allah, upright. It was said to him, "O Abu Abdur Rahman, indeed Ibrahim was a nation obedient to Allah, upright." He said, "Did you hear me mention Ibrahim?" Then he said, "Indeed, Mu'adh was a nation obedient to Allah, upright." He said, "We used to compare Mu'adh to Ibrahim."
[Machine] Abdullah, Mu'adh was a devout nation. He said, "Verily, Ibrahim was a devout nation." He said, "We used to liken ourselves to him." He was asked about the nation, and he said, "Teaching goodness." He was asked about the devout, and he said, "Obedient to Allah and His Messenger."
[Machine] The nation who teaches people goodness and is obedient to Allah and His Messenger, and the same was Mu'adh ibn Jabal, who taught goodness and was obedient to Allah and His Messenger.
[Machine] "There is a man who says, 'O Abu Abdur Rahman, we see you speaking about something that you do not know what it is. Allah says, 'Indeed, Ibrahim' and you say, 'Indeed, Mu'adh.' He said, 'They continue to hear the truth from me and deny it. Indeed, the obedient and submissive to Allah is like that.'"

[Machine] Abdullah said, "Verily, Mu'adh was a devout and obedient servant to Allah, do you know what 'obedient servant' means? He teaches people goodness."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ went to fulfill his need and ordered Ibn Masood to bring him three stones. He came back with two stones and a piece of dung, and he threw the dung and said, "This is filth, bring me a stone."
[Machine] I was with the Prophet ﷺ on the Night of the Jinn and he said to me, "Find three stones for me." So, I found two stones and a piece of dung for him. He took the two stones and cast away the dung, saying, "This is filth."
[Machine] I was with the Prophet ﷺ and he wanted to fulfill his need, so he said, "Bring me three stones." I looked for them and found two stones, but I didn't find the third stone. So, I found a small piece of dung and brought it to him. He said, "Didn't you know that it is impure?"
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ went to relieve himself and said, "Bring me three stones so that I can perform Istinja with them." So I brought him two stones and some animal dung. He took the two stones and discarded the dung, saying, "It is impure."
[Machine] I accompanied the Prophet ﷺ to pick out some stones, and he instructed me to bring him three stones. So, I brought him two stones and a piece of dung. He took the two stones and threw away the dung, saying, "This is worthless."
[Machine] "I accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he commanded me to bring him three stones. So, I brought him two stones and a piece of animal dung. He took the two stones and discarded the piece of dung, saying, 'Indeed, it is impure.'"
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Bring me three stones." He then performed ablution but did not touch water. So I brought him two stones and some dung. He said, "Throw away the dung, as it is impure."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ went out for his need, and said, "Bring me something for me to perform istinja (cleaning after using the restroom) with, but do not approach me closely or come near me again." So I did that, then he performed ablution and prayed.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ set off for his need and said, "Bring me something and do not bring me a bone or a reed." So I did, and he performed ablution and then prayed.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Bring me three stones." So I brought him two stones and a donkey's dung. He took the two stones and threw away the dung, saying, "Indeed, it is impure."
[Machine] He (Prophet Muhammad) performed ablution using water mixed with Nabidh, and he said, "It is a pure drink."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us and said, "I have been commanded to recite to your brothers from the jinn. Let one of you stand with me, and no man should stay in his heart even the weight of a mustard-seed of arrogance." So I stood with him and took a container containing wine, then I went with him. When he appeared, he drew a line and said to me, "Do not go beyond this line, for if you go out, you will not see me and I will not see you until the Day of Resurrection." He said, "Then he went away from me until I could not see him. When dawn approached, he came and said to me, 'Are you standing?' I said, 'No, I did not sit.' He said, 'What if you did?' I said, 'I feared that I would go out.' He said, 'Indeed, if you had gone out, you would not have seen me and I would not have seen you until the Day of Resurrection. Do you have water?' I said, 'No.' He said, 'What is this container you have?' I said, 'It contains wine.' He said, 'A good date and pure water.' So he performed ablution and established the prayer. When he finished the prayer, two jinn men approached him and asked him for provisions. He said, 'Did I not command you and your people to do what is good for you?' They said, 'Yes, but we wanted to witness some of your prayer with you.' He asked, 'Who are you?' They said, 'We are from the people of two shares.' He said, 'These two are successful, and their people are successful.'" He ordered them to be given grass and bones as food, and the Prophet ﷺ forbade the use of bones or dung for cleansing.

[Machine] When it was the night of the jinn, two men remained from them and said, "We will witness the dawn with you, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do you have water?" I said, "I do not have water, but I have a medicine with wine." The Prophet ﷺ said, "A good date and pure water." So he performed ablution. Israel mentioned in his narration and then he prayed the dawn prayer.

[Machine] Abdul Warith narrated from Shariq who narrated from Abu Fazara who narrated from Abu Zaid who narrated from Abdullah bin Mas'ud who said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked for a light during the night of the jinn, so I said, 'I only have some wine in a container.' He said, 'A good date and pure water [will suffice].' So he performed ablution with it."

[Machine] While we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he was in a group of his companions, he said, "Let one man from among you stand with me, and let no man who has deceit in his heart stand with me, even to the weight of a mustard seed." So I stood with him and took the water container, thinking that it contained nothing but water. I went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until we reached the highest point of Makkah, and I saw a group of people gathered. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew a line for me and said, "Stay here until I come to you." So I stood there, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went to them. I saw them whispering to him, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ spent a long night with them until the morning came. He then asked me, "Have you been standing here, Ibn Mas'ood?" I said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah, didn't you tell me to stay until you come to me?" Then he said to me, "Do you have any water with you?" I said, "Yes." So I opened the water container and found that it was wine. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I swear by Allah, I took it and I thought it was nothing but water. And now I find that it is wine." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is a date and pure water." Then he performed ablution with it. When he stood to pray, two men came and said, "O Messenger of Allah, we would like you to lead us in prayer." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made them stand behind him and led us in prayer. When he finished, I asked him, "Who are these people, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "They are jinn, and they asked me for food and I provided them with the remains they found, including barley and bones, which they found as provisions." At that point, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited using animal bones and barley as food.

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ asked the Jinn, "Do you have any purification (i.e., ablution)?" They replied, "There is nothing except some wine in a container." The Prophet ﷺ then said, "Good dates and pure water are sufficient for ablution." He then performed ablution.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out before the migration to the outskirts of Mecca and drew a line for me, saying, "Do not speak until I come to you." Then he said, "Do not be scared or frightened by anything you see." He then moved forward a little and sat down. Suddenly, there were black men resembling the Zutt tribe. He said, "They are as Allah (ﷻ) said, 'They almost frightened you to death.' I wanted to get up and defend him as much as I could, but then I remembered the pledge of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so I stayed still. Then they dispersed from him and I heard them saying, "O Messenger of Allah, our hardship is far away, and we are setting out, so please provide us with provisions." He said, "You will return, and whatever you have brought of bones, you will have meat, and whatever you have brought of leaves, you will have dates." When they left, I asked, "Who are these people?" He said, "They are jinn in human form."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ followed me one night to the valley of the jinn, so I went with him until we reached the highest point of Makkah. He drew a line for me and said, "Do not leave." Then he went obediently into the mountains, and I witnessed men descending upon him from the tops of the mountains until they surrounded me and him. I unsheathed my sword and said, "I will strike until I rescue the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." Then I remembered his words, "Do not leave until I come to you." So I remained in that state until dawn came. The Prophet ﷺ arrived while I was standing and asked, "Are you still in the same position?" I replied, "Even if I stayed here for a month, I would not leave until you come to me." Then I informed him of what I intended to do, and he said, "If you had gone, neither you nor I would have ever met until the Day of Judgment." Then he intertwined his fingers with mine and said, "I have been promised that the jinn and mankind will believe in me. As for mankind, they have believed in me, but as for the jinn, you have seen them." He said, "I do not think that the appointed time is far off." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, should I nominate Abu Bakr as your successor?" He turned away from me, and I saw that he did not agree. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, should I nominate Umar?" Again, he turned away from me, and I saw that he did not agree. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, should I nominate Ali?" He said, "That is the one, by the One other than whom there is no deity. If you pledge allegiance to him and obey him, he will admit you to Paradise."

[Machine] I was with the Prophet ﷺ on the night of the delegation of the jinn, and he started breathing heavily. So I said, "What's the matter, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "A soul was presented to me, O Ibn Mas'ood." I said, "May I be sacrificed for you, who is it?" He remained silent for a while, then he started breathing again. So I said, "What's the matter with you and my father and mother, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "A soul was presented to me, O Ibn Mas'ood." I said, "May I be sacrificed for you, who is it?" He remained silent for a while, then he started breathing again. So I said, "What's the matter with you?" He said, "A soul was presented to me, O Ibn Mas'ood." I said, "May I be sacrificed for you, who is it?" He said, "Ali ibn Abi Talib. By the One in whose hand is my soul, if they obey him, they will all enter Paradise in groups."
I was not with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ but I wish I were with him. (Using translation from Muslim 450d)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ took off his sandals while he was praying, so the people behind him also took off their sandals. He asked, "What made you all take off your sandals?" They replied, "We saw you take off yours, so we also took off ours." He then said, "Indeed, Jibreel ﷺ informed me that there was impurity on one of them, so I took them off for that reason. Therefore, do not take off your sandals."
[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never observed voluntary fasting for an entire month except during Ramadan."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ persisted in calling for thirty days, then he left it.
[Machine] I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his houses are surely on his left. And when he prays, he turns to his houses on his left.
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought the Burāq, and he, along with Jibril, peace be upon both of them, rode it, and they traveled with it. Whenever they would come to a mountain, its legs would rise, and whenever they would descend, its hands would rise until it reached a trembling, unstable land, and then to a land full of sweet fragrance. I said, "O Jibril, we were traveling in a trembling, unstable land, and then to a land full of sweet fragrance." He said, "That is the land of Hell, and this is the land of Paradise." I said, "Then I came across a man who was standing and praying. I said, "Who is this with you, O Jibril?" He said, "Your brother Muhammad." So he welcomed me and invoked blessings upon me. He said, "Ask your Ummah for ease." He said, "Who is this, O Jibril?" He said, "Your brother Musa." I said, "For whom is his voice and complaining about his Lord?" He said, "Yes, it is known from him and his uniqueness." He said, "Then we continued, and I saw lamps and light. I said, "Who is this, O Jibril?" He said, "This is your father Ibrahim's tree." I said, "Can I approach it?" He said, "Yes." So we approached it, and he invoked blessings upon me and welcomed me. Then we went to the sacred mosque, and I tied the animal to the ring to which the prophets used to tie it. Then I entered the mosque, and the prophets were gathered for me. Whoever named Allah in his book, I offered prayers with them, except for the People of the Cow, 'Isa, Musa, and Ibrahim, may peace be upon them.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If difficulty were in a hole, then ease would enter it until it comes out." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited the verse, "Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَوْ كَانَ الْعُسْرُ فِي جُحْرٍ لَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ الْيُسْرُ حَتَّى يُخْرِجَهُ» ثُمَّ قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ {إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا}
[Machine] The translation of the passage is: "The eulogy is from the affairs of Jahiliyyah."
[Machine] "I used to see the radiance of the Prophet's ﷺ cheeks when he used to turn his face to the right and left to give Salam."
[Machine] "We were not commanded to fast on Ashura except before Ramadan was revealed, so when Ramadan was revealed we were not commanded or forbidden from it."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have considered ordering Bilal to call for prayer and then go to a people who can hear the call but do not respond, and then set fire to their houses."
[Machine] "What is permitted in leaving the group is only for the fearful or the sick"
