[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ said to the jinn that night, 'What is in your medicine?' He said, 'Wine.' The Prophet said, 'A good date and pure water.'"  

الطبراني:٩٩٦٤ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْقَطِرَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ثنا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ أَبِي فَزَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ مَوْلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَيْلَةَ الْجِنِّ «مَا فِي إِدَاوَتِكَ؟» قَالَ نَبِيذٌ قَالَ «تَمْرَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ وَمَاءٌ طَهُورٌ»

AbuZayd quoted Abdullah ibn Mas'ud as saying that on the night when the jinn listened to the Qur'an the Prophet ﷺ said: What is in your skin vessel? He said: I have some nabidh. He (the Holy Prophet) said: It consists of fresh dates and pure water. Sulayman ibn Dawud reported the same version of this tradition on the authority of AbuZayd or Zayd. But Sharik said that Hammad did not mention the words "night of the jinn".  

أبو داود:٨٤ – حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْعَتَكِيُّ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ أَبِي فَزَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُ لَيْلَةَ الْجِنِّ مَا فِي إِدَاوَتِكَ قَالَ نَبِيذٌ قَالَ تَمْرَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ وَمَاءٌ طَهُورٌ  

قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَقَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ أَوْ زَيْدٍ كَذَا قَالَ شَرِيكٌ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ هَنَّادٌ لَيْلَةَ الْجِنِّ

"The Prophet asked me: "What is in your Idawah (water skin)?" I said: "Nabidh." He said: "Dates are wholesome and water is pure." He said: "So he performed Wudu with it."  

الترمذي:٨٨ – حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ أَبِي فَزَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ

سَأَلَنِي النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَا فِي إِدَاوَتِكَ فَقُلْتُ نَبِيذٌ فَقَالَ تَمْرَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ وَمَاءٌ طَهُورٌ قَالَ فَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهُ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَإِنَّمَا رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَبُو زَيْدٍ رَجُلٌ مَجْهُولٌ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْحَدِيثِ لاَ يُعْرَفُ لَهُ رِوَايَةٌ غَيْرُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَقَدْ رَأَى بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ الْوُضُوءَ بِالنَّبِيذِ مِنْهُمْ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ وَغَيْرُهُ وَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ لاَ يُتَوَضَّأُ بِالنَّبِيذِ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ الشَّافِعِيِّ وَأَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ إِنِ ابْتُلِيَ رَجُلٌ بِهَذَا فَتَوَضَّأَ بِالنَّبِيذِ وَتَيَمَّمَ أَحَبُّ إِلَىَّ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَقَوْلُ مَنْ يَقُولُ لاَ يُتَوَضَّأُ بِالنَّبِيذِ أَقْرَبُ إِلَى الْكِتَابِ وَأَشْبَهُ لأَنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى قَالَ فإِن لَمْ تَجِدُوا مَاءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا
