[Machine] I entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the Battle of Tabuk, in the late hours of the night while he was in his tent. I greeted him and asked, "May I enter?" He said, "Enter." I asked, "May I come all the way in?" He said, "Yes, all the way." Then he said, "There will be six signs before the Hour (Day of Judgment): First, the death of your Prophet. Say: One. I said, One. And the second is the conquest of Jerusalem. Say: Two. I said, Two. And the third is two deaths that will afflict you like the striking of a whip. Say: Three. I said, Three. And the fourth is an abundance of wealth to the extent that a man will be given a hundred dinars and he will still be unsatisfied. Say: Four. I said, Four. And the fifth is a trial that will come among you, so that no house of mud or brick will remain except that it will enter it. Say: Five. I said, Five. And the sixth is a truce between you and the yellow people, where they will gather against you and betray you after accepting a woman's carrying load. They will march forth with eighty banners, under each banner twelve thousand (soldiers)."
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ entered the mosque with a stick in his hand. He saw hanging water bags, so he pierced one of them and found water inside. He said, "Who is the owner of this? If he gives charity of something better than this, then the owner of this will eat from it on the Day of Resurrection." Then he said, "O people of Madinah, leave it for the birds and animals for forty years." It was asked, "What are the birds and animals?" He said, "Birds and beasts."
[Machine] What is this? They said, "It's a whip." He said, "Oh no, didn't you hear the statement of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : 'No one should whip others except an amir (leader), a man authorized to do so, or a mukhtal (one who has been given permission).'"

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever stands in a position of showing off, Allah will expose him, and whoever stands in a position of seeking fame, Allah will make him heard."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no Muslim who has three daughters and he supports them until they reach adulthood or die, except that he will have a barrier against the Fire (of Hell)." A woman asked, "What about two daughters?" He replied, "Even two."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I and a woman with sunken cheeks are like two women enslaved to themselves. She confined herself to her daughters until they grew up or died."
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The longer the lifespan of a Muslim, the better it is for him." He (the narrator) said, "Yes."

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "I fear for you six things: the rule of the foolish, bloodshed, selling of positions of authority, severing of family ties, people who take the Quran as songs, and an abundance of false oaths."
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Indeed, my Lord has blessed me with two qualities: that half of my Ummah will enter Paradise and the intercession will be granted to me."

[Machine] We traveled with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until we stopped. When the night came, my eyes couldn't sleep, so I got up. There was not a single creature in the camp that did not place its cheek on the ground. The highest thing in my mind was the back of the camel's saddle. I said to myself, "I will not go to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until morning." So I went to the outskirts of the camp until I reached the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ camel. But he was not on his camel. So I went to the outskirts of the camp until I left the army. Suddenly, I found myself in darkness, so I performed Tayammum (dry ablution) with the dark sand. Then, I found Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah and Mu'adh ibn Jabal. They asked me, "What brought you out?" I said, "What brought you two out?" Then, we found ourselves close to Ghaytah. We heard a buzzing sound, like the buzzing of bees or the rustling of the wind. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Is this Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah?" We said, "Yes." He asked, "And Mu'adh ibn Jabal?" We said, "Yes." He further asked, "And Awf ibn Malik?" We said, "Yes." Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us. We stood up and didn't ask him anything, nor did he ask us anything. He returned to his camel and said, "Shall I not inform you of what my Lord has favored me with in advance?'" We said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "My Lord has favored me with the choice between having one-third of my Ummah enter Paradise without any reckoning or punishment, and between intercession." We said, "O Messenger of Allah, what have you chosen?" He said, "I have chosen intercession." We all said, "O Messenger of Allah, make us among the people of your intercession." He said to us, "My intercession is for every Muslim."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed with us on the funeral of a man from the Ansar. I heard him say, "O Allah, send blessings upon him, forgive him, have mercy on him, grant him good health, pardon him, honor his place of reception and his dwelling, wash him with water, snow, and hail, purify him from sins as a white garment is purified from impurities, replace his home with a better home, and his family with a better family. Protect him from the trials of the grave and the punishment of the Fire." Awf said, "Indeed, I saw myself desiring that in my dream, to be the deceased in place of that Ansari man, when I witnessed the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."

[Machine] O people, be aware that there is no expiation for sins except repentance. Verily, a man may commit sins and then repent, so Allah accepts his repentance. Indeed, Allah the Exalted says, "And it is not for a Prophet to act dishonestly. And whoever deceives will come with what he has deceived on the Day of Resurrection." And surely, Allah will resurrect the usurer on the Day of Resurrection as a lunatic choking.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On the Day of Judgment, the person who has committed usury and the one who hoards stolen property will come with them. So, whoever hoards something, even the size of a gnat, will bring it on the Day of Judgment, and the one who eats usury will be raised on the Day of Judgment as insane, tossing and turning. Then, he recited, 'Those who consume interest cannot stand [on the Day of Resurrection] except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity.'"
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِيَّايَ وَالذُّنُوبَ الَّتِي لَا تُغْفَرُ الْغُلُولُ فَمَنْ غَلَّ شَيْئًا أَتَى بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَآكِلُ الرِّبَا فَمَنْ أَكَلَ الرِّبَا بُعِثَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَجْنُونًا يَتَخَبَّطُ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {الَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ الرِّبَا لَا يَقُومُونَ إِلَّا كَمَا يَقُومُ الَّذِي يَتَخَبَّطُهُ الشَّيْطَانُ مِنَ الْمَسِّ}
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe iʿtikāf during the last ten days of Ramadan. When it was the twenty-third night, he said, "Whoever wants to observe qiyām with me tonight, should stay in my place until one-third of the night has passed." Then he left, and I went with him to Qutaybah. We said, "O Messenger of Allah, if you stay with us tonight?" He replied, "It is sufficient for a person to observe qiyām with the Imam until he finishes, and it will be counted as if he observed qiyām the whole night."

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying that retribution (qisas) is for three: a leader (amir), an appointed authority (ma'mur), or a conceited person (mukhtal).
[Machine] I heard Awf ibn Malik saying, "I stood with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night, and he began to perform the prayer. I stood with him, and he started by reciting the opening chapter of the Quran (Al-Fatiha), making sure to pause at every verse that mentions mercy and supplicating, and also pausing at every verse that mentions punishment to seek refuge. Then, he bowed and remained in the bowing position for the same duration as his standing. In his bowing, he would say, 'Glory be to the Possessor of all might, dominion, greatness, and grandeur.' Then, he recited Surah Al-Imran, followed by another Surah, and he repeated this process."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Al-Qasas (retribution) is of three kinds: a ruler, a person who carries out a command, or a proud person."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best of you and the best of your leaders are those whom you love and who love you, and you pray for them and they pray for you. And the worst of you and the worst of your leaders are those whom you hate and who hate you, and you curse them and they curse you." They said, "Should we not overthrow them, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "No, as long as they establish the five daily prayers. Whoever sees something objectionable from them and dislikes it, let him hate what he sees from disobedience to Allah. Behold, do not remove your hand from obedience."
[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "The best among your leaders are those whom you love and they love you, and for whom you supplicate to Allah, and they supplicate for you. And the worst among your leaders are those whom you hate and they hate you, and for whom you curse and they curse you." It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, should we not confront them?" He said, "No, as long as they establish prayer among you. So, if you see from your leader something that you dislike, then dislike his actions but do not withdraw your hand from obedience."

And the worst of your leaders are those whom you hate and they hate you, and whom you curse and they curse you." We said, "O Messenger of Allah, should we not confront them at that time?" He said, "No, as long as they establish prayer among you, and whoever becomes the leader over you sees from them anything of disobedience towards Allah, then he should detest their disobedience and not withdraw his hand from obedience."

[Machine] "From the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , he said: Dreams are of three kinds. One type is a result of Satan's whispering to sadden the son of Adam. Another type is something that a person is concerned about while awake but sees it in his sleep. And some dreams are a part of the forty-six parts of prophethood. So, I asked him, 'Did you hear about this from the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ ?' He said, 'I heard it from the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ .'"

[Machine] "For me, the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, 'O Awf, prepare six things before the Day of Judgment. The first of them is my death, followed by the liberation of Beit Al-Maqdis (Jerusalem). Then there will be a house where my nation from Ash-Sham (Greater Syria) will take shelter and where death will afflict them like the falling of raindrops on sheep. Then there will be an abundance of wealth that will flow among you to the extent that a person will be given a hundred dinars and he will remain unsatisfied. Then there will be a tribulation that will afflict you, where no Arab house will be unaffected by it. Then the sons of Al-Asfar (non-Arabs) will make peace with you at the end of eighty goals, under each of the goals being twelve thousand.'"

[Machine] I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the Tabuk campaign, and he was in a dome. I heard the sound of footsteps and he said, "Who is this?" I said, "Awf ibn Malik." He said, "Enter, O Awf." I said, "Shall I serve you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Yes." So I entered and I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution with great care. He said, "O Awf, there are six things that will happen before the Day of Judgment. What do you think is the first among them?" I said, "One of them." So I remained silent at that time for a severe scolding. Then he said, "The conquest of Jerusalem." I said, "Two." So he scolded me again and said, "The wealth will overflow among you until a man is given a hundred dinars and he becomes upset." I said, "Three." So he scolded me again and said, "Then there will be two deaths sent upon you like the biting of a sheep." I said, "Four." He scolded me again and said, "Then there will be a trial that will emerge from among you, and it will not leave a single household of the Muslims untouched." I said, "Five." He scolded me again and said, "Then there will be a truce between you and the Romans, and they will betray you at the end of it, and they will come to you with an army led by a woman, and they will come to you with eighty banners, and under each banner, there will be eighty thousand soldiers."

[Machine] I heard Awf ibn Malik al-Ashja'i saying, "We once camped with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and during the night I woke up to find that there was nothing in the campsite longer than the back of a saddle. Every person and his camel were sticking to the ground. I got up and started moving through the people until I reached the place where the Prophet was supposed to be sleeping, but he wasn't there. I placed my hands on the bed and found that it was cold, so I got up and left to search for him among the people. I kept saying, 'Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.' The news spread among the people that the Messenger of Allah had left until I had exited the entire camp and noticed something black. I went towards it and threw a stone, but it moved. I approached it and found that it was Mu'adh ibn Jabal and Abu 'Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah. In front of us, we heard a sound like the loud grinding of flour and the sound that a stick makes when the wind blows against it. Some of us said to others, 'Whoever you are, stand up until you wake up, or the Messenger of Allah comes to you.' We stayed there as long as Allah willed, and then someone called out, 'Is Mu'adh ibn Jabal, Abu 'Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah, and Awf ibn Malik here?' We replied, 'Yes.' The person came towards us until we were with him, and we didn't ask him anything, and he didn't inform us of anything until he sat on his bed and said, 'Do you know what my Lord offered me tonight?' We said, 'Allah and His Messenger know best.' He said, 'Tonight, my Lord gave me a choice between allowing half of my Ummah to enter Paradise or having intercession, and I chose intercession.' We said, 'O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to make us among its people.' He said, 'It is for every Muslim.'"

[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in some of his expeditions. One night, I woke up and did not see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in his usual place. I saw his companions with rocks on their heads, and the camels were standing in their place. Suddenly, I saw a figure approaching me and I got scared. Then, it was Muadh ibn Jabal, so I asked him, "Where is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" He replied, "He is behind me." Suddenly, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, when you are in the enemy's land, you have guards." The Prophet ﷺ said, "I received a message from my Lord, and He gave me the choice between having half of my Ummah enter Paradise or intercede for them, so I chose intercession." Muadh said, "O Messenger of Allah, may my parents be sacrificed for you, you know my closeness to you and my status, so please include me among them." He said, "You are among them." Then Awf and Abu Musa said, "O Messenger of Allah, we left our families preferring Allah and His Messenger, so please include us among them." He said, "It is for every Muslim, both of you are among them." Then we reached the people when they called, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "Sit down." So they all sat as if nobody got up. Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "I received a message from my Lord, and He gave me the choice between having half of my Ummah enter Paradise or intercede for them, so I chose intercession." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah, include us among them." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Listen." So they listened as if nobody spoke. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "My intercession is for those who die without associating anything with Allah."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married us one night, and each one of us spread out his mount and lay down. During the night, I woke up and saw a she-camel belonging to the Prophet, with no one in front of her. So, I set off to look for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . I found Mu'adh bin Jabal and Abdullah bin Qais standing, so I said, 'Where is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?' They said, 'We do not know, but we heard a sound coming from the top of the valley, like the sound of a grinding mill. Not much time passed until the Prophet ﷺ arrived and said, 'Verily, someone came to me from my Lord, offering me a choice between having half of my Ummah enter Paradise or intercession, so I chose intercession.' We said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we beg you by Allah and your friendship to make us among those who will intercede.' He said, 'You are among those who will intercede.' So, we set off together, racing to the people. And behold, the people were startled and had lost their Prophet. He said, 'Someone came to me from my Lord, offering me a choice between having half of my Ummah enter Paradise or intercession, so I chose intercession.' They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we beg you by Allah and your friendship to make us among those who will intercede.' When they became persistent, he said, 'I bear witness that my intercession is for those among my Ummah who do not associate anything with Allah.'

[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during a journey, and we stopped for the night. I got up to look for the Prophet ﷺ , but I couldn't find him. Instead, I found Mu'adh ibn Jabal and Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari, so I asked, "Where is the Messenger of Allah?" They replied, "We don't know." While we were in this situation, we heard a sound coming from the top of the valley, like the sound of a grinding mill. Soon after, the Prophet ﷺ came, and we said, "O Messenger of Allah, we lost you tonight." He said, "I was visited by a caller from my Lord who gave me the choice between having half of my Ummah enter Paradise and having the power of intercession. So I chose intercession." We said, "O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to make us among the people of your intercession." He said, "O Allah, make them among the people of intercession." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, my intercession will be for those who die without associating anything with Allah."

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ settled a dispute between two men. The one who was ruled against said, 'Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.' The Prophet ﷺ then said, 'Bring the man back to me.' When he returned, the Prophet asked, 'What did you say?' The man informed him, and the Prophet responded, 'Indeed, Allah disapproves of helplessness, but you should rely on wisdom. When you face a difficult matter, say, 'Allah is sufficient for me, and He is the best Disposer of affairs."

[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ said one day, "I learned who will be the last people to enter Paradise. It will be a man who will enter Paradise and will ask Allah to move him away from the Fire, but he will not ask for Paradise. When the people of Paradise enter Paradise and the people of the Fire enter the Fire, there will be someone standing between these two places asking, 'O Lord, what is my role here?' Allah will answer, 'This is what you used to ask of Me, O son of Adam.' The man will say, 'Indeed, O Lord.' While in this state, he will suddenly see a tree from the gate of Paradise entering Paradise. He will say, 'O Lord, let me be close to this tree so that I may eat from its fruits and find shade under it.' Allah will say, 'O son of Adam, did you not used to ask Me?' The man will say, 'O Lord, where can I find anything like You?' He will continuously see something better than the previous and he will keep asking until it is said to him, 'Go and take whatever you desire. Your desires and what your eyes have seen are yours.' The man will strive until he almost reaches with his hand and say, 'This and this, O Lord.' Allah will say, 'This is for you and its equivalent is with it.' The man will be satisfied to the extent that he will receive something that no one from the people of Paradise has ever received before. He will say, 'If permission is granted to me, I will enter Paradise and provide food, drink, and clothing for the people from what Allah has given me, and I will not want for anything.'"

[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , he said: "My nation is divided into three groups: one-third will enter Paradise without any reckoning or punishment, one-third will be held accountable for their deeds but will eventually enter Paradise, and one-third will be examined and purified, and then the angels will come and say, 'We found them saying, "There is no god but Allah" alone,' and Allah will say, 'They spoke the truth, and I will admit them to Paradise by saying, "There is no god but Allah" alone, and bear their sins on those who denied it.' Thus fulfilling what Allah Almighty mentioned in the verse, 'And they will bear their burdens and other burdens with their burdens' [Quran 29:13], and affirming it in the context of mentioning the angels, Allah said, 'Then We made the Book an inheritance for those We have chosen from Our servants' [Quran 35:32], and He made them into three groups, and they are different types. 'Among them, some are oppressors to themselves,' and this is the one who will be examined and purified, 'and among them are balanced,' and this is the one who will be held accountable with a light reckoning, 'and among them are forerunners in good deeds, by permission of Allah,' and this is the one who will enter Paradise without any reckoning or punishment by the permission of Allah. They will enter it all together, without any distinction. 'They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearl, and their garments therein will be silk. They will say, "Praise be to Allah, who has removed from us [all] sorrow. Indeed, our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative - He who has settled us in the home of duration out of His bounty. There touches us not in it any fatigue, and there touches us not in it weariness [of body]. And for those who disbelieve will be the fire of Hell. [Death] is not decreed for them so they may die, nor will its torment be lightened for them. Thus do We recompense every ungrateful one.' " [Quran 35:33-36]

[Machine] I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in his privacy and said, "O Messenger of Allah, may I enter?" He said, "Enter." I said, "All of me?" He said, "Yes, all of you." He said, "Hold on to six things that will occur before the Hour: the death of your Prophet, then I wept. Then the opening of Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) and a fitnah (trial) that will enter every house made of hair and mud, and wealth will overflow among you to the extent that a man will be given one hundred dinars and will be displeased with it. And there will be two deaths among the people, like the deaths of sheep attacked by wolves. And there will be a truce between you and the Banu Asfar (Yellow people), then they will betray you and march against you with an army of eighty banners, under each banner will be twelve thousand soldiers."

[Machine] Abu's delegation came to the Prophet ﷺ and I was with them. The Prophet ﷺ ordered every man to have two garments, and he ordered me to have one garment. When we left, one of them sold me one of his garments. So I came to the Prophet ﷺ wearing two garments, and he looked at me and said: "Where did you get this from?" I said: "I bought it from so-and-so." He said: "You were more entitled to it than him, as he lost what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him."
