A man bit another man's hand and the latter pulled his hand out of his mouth by force, causing two of his incisors (teeth) to fall out. They submitted their case to the Prophet, who said, "One of you bit his brother as a male camel bites. (Go away), there is no Diya (Blood-money) for you."

أَنَّ رَجُلاً عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ فَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ مِنْ فَمِهِ فَوَقَعَتْ ثَنِيَّتَاهُ فَاخْتَصَمُوا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ لاَ دِيَةَ لَكَ

Ya'la b. Munya or Ibn Umayya fought with a person, and the one bit the hand of the other. And he tried to draw his hand from his mouth and thus his foreteeth ware pulled out. They referred their dispute to Allah's Apostle ﷺ, whereupon he said: Does any one of you bite as the camel bites? So there is no blood-wit for it.

وَقَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثَنِيَّتَيْهِ فَاخْتَصَمَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَيَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ لاَ دِيَةَ لَهُ

"A man bit the hand of another man. The man who was bitten pulled his hand out, causing two of his incisors (teeth) to fall out. They brought their case of the Prophet ﷺ. So he said: "One of you bites his brother like the stallion bites? There is no blood-money for you.' So Allah Most High revealed: Wounds, equal for equal."

أَنَّ رَجُلاً عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ فَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَوَقَعَتْ ثَنِيَّتَاهُ فَاخْتَصَمُوا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ لاَ دِيَةَ لَكَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ (وَالْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌ ) قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ وَسَلَمَةَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ وَهُمَا أَخَوَانِ

"Ya'la fought with a man, and one of them bit the other, who pulled his hand away from his mouth, and a front tooth fell out. They referred their dispute to the Messenger of Allah and he said: 'Would one of you bite his brother as a stallion bites? There is no Diyah for that."

قَاتَلَ يَعْلَى رَجُلاً فَعَضَّ أَحَدُهُمَا صَاحِبَهُ فَانْتَزَعَ يَدَهُ مِنْ فِيهِ فَنَدَرَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ فَاخْتَصَمَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ لاَ دِيَةَ لَهُ

[AI] He pulled his hand away and his two fingers got dislocated, so they argued with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "Will one of you bite his brother as a stallion bites?" You have no compensation."

فَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَوَقَعَتْ ثَنِيَّتَاهُ فَاخْتَصَمُوا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ؟ لَا دِيَةَ لَكَ»

[AI] And Hajjaj said to his two companions, and they argued among themselves in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "Let each of you bite his companion as the stallion bites, for he has no blood money to pay."

وَقَالَ حَجَّاجٌ ثَنِيَّتَيْهِ فَاخْتَصَمَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمَا أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ لَا دِيَةَ لَهُ

[AI] "A man bit another man's hand and the hand was severed, and it caused a deformation or deformations. So the injured man came to the Prophet ﷺ and he said, 'Would one of you bite his brother as a male camel bites, and there is no recompense for you?'"

أَنَّ رَجُلًا عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ فَانْتَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَنَدَرَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ أَوْ ثَنِيَّتَاهُ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ لَا دِيَةَ لَكَ

[AI] With his hand, he pulled it out from within him, and his two fingers met and clashed. They came to argue with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , so he said, "Is one of you biting his brother like a stallion? You have no blood money."

بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا فَنَزَعَهَا مِنْ فِيهِ فَوَقَعَتْ ثَنِيَّتَاهُ فَاخْتَصَمُوا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ ﷺ «يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ؟ لَا دِيَةَ لَكَ»

[AI] A man bit the hand of another man, causing him to lose his thumb. They both presented their case to the Prophet ﷺ , who said, "No compensation will be paid, for one of you bit the other like a male camel."

أَنَّ رَجُلًا عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ فَنَزَعَ ثَنِيَّتَهُ فَاخْتَصَمَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ لَا دِيَةَ لَكَ»

[AI] A man bit the hand of another man, so the bitten man pulled his hand out forcefully causing his two fingers to fall off. They then argued before the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and he said, "Let not any one of you bite his brother like a male camel bites, for there is no compensation for you."
