muslim:1673a – Muḥammad b. al-Muthanná And Ibn Bashhār > Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > Qatādah > Zurārah > ʿImrān b. Ḥuṣayn > Qātal Yaʿlá Ibn Munyah or Ibn Umayyah a man Faʿaḍ Aḥaduhumā Ṣāḥibah Fāntazaʿ Yadah from Famih Fanazaʿ Thaniyyatah

Ya'la b. Munya or Ibn Umayya fought with a person, and the one bit the hand of the other. And he tried to draw his hand from his mouth and thus his foreteeth ware pulled out. They referred their dispute to Allah's Apostle ﷺ, whereupon he said: Does any one of you bite as the camel bites? So there is no blood-wit for it.  

مسلم:١٦٧٣a – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ قَاتَلَ يَعْلَى ابْنُ مُنْيَةَ أَوِ ابْنُ أُمَيَّةَ رَجُلاً فَعَضَّ أَحَدُهُمَا صَاحِبَهُ فَانْتَزَعَ يَدَهُ مِنْ فَمِهِ فَنَزَعَ ثَنِيَّتَهُ

وَقَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثَنِيَّتَيْهِ فَاخْتَصَمَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَيَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ لاَ دِيَةَ لَهُ

[Machine] And Hajjaj said to his two companions, and they argued among themselves in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "Let each of you bite his companion as the stallion bites, for he has no blood money to pay."

وَقَالَ حَجَّاجٌ ثَنِيَّتَيْهِ فَاخْتَصَمَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمَا أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ لَا دِيَةَ لَهُ  

darimi:2421 – Hāshim b. al-Qāsim > Shuʿbah > Qatādah > Zurārah b. Awfá > ʿImrān b. Ḥuṣayn > a man ʿAḍ Yad a man

[Machine] He pulled his hand away and his two fingers got dislocated, so they argued with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "Will one of you bite his brother as a stallion bites?" You have no compensation."  

الدارمي:٢٤٢١ – حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ زُرَارَةَ بْنَ أَوْفَى عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ قَالَ

فَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَوَقَعَتْ ثَنِيَّتَاهُ فَاخْتَصَمُوا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ؟ لَا دِيَةَ لَكَ»  

ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الْمُدْحِضِ قَوْلَ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ شُعْبَةَ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ هَذَا الْخَبَرَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ

ibnhibban:5999 – Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman al-Sāmī > ʿAlī b. al-Jaʿd > Shuʿbah > Qatādah > Zurārah b. Awfá > ʿImrān b. Ḥuṣayn > a man ʿAḍ Yad a man

[Machine] With his hand, he pulled it out from within him, and his two fingers met and clashed. They came to argue with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , so he said, "Is one of you biting his brother like a stallion? You have no blood money."  

ابن حبّان:٥٩٩٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ زُرَارَةَ بْنَ أَوْفَى يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ فَقَالَ

بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا فَنَزَعَهَا مِنْ فِيهِ فَوَقَعَتْ ثَنِيَّتَاهُ فَاخْتَصَمُوا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ ﷺ «يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ؟ لَا دِيَةَ لَكَ»

[Machine] A man bit the hand of another man, causing him to lose his thumb. They both presented their case to the Prophet ﷺ , who said, "No compensation will be paid, for one of you bit the other like a male camel."  

الطبراني:١٥٦٨١ – حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْمَرْوَزِيُّ قَالَا ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدُوسِ بْنِ كَامِلٍ قَالَا ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ قَالَا ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا عَضَّ يَدَ رَجُلٍ فَنَزَعَ ثَنِيَّتَهُ فَاخْتَصَمَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «يَعَضُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ كَمَا يَعَضُّ الْفَحْلُ لَا دِيَةَ لَكَ»
