The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Fighting a Muslim is Kufr and defaming him is evildoing."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ قِتَالُ الْمُسْلِمِ كُفْرٌ وَسِبَابُهُ فُسُوقٌ

“A Muslim should not be killed in retaliation for the murder of a disbeliever.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يُقْتَلُ مُسْلِمٌ بِكَافِرٍ

”A believer should not be killed in retaliation for the murder of a disbeliever, and a person who has a treaty should not be killed during the time of the treaty.”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يُقْتَلُ مُؤْمِنٌ بِكَافِرٍ وَلاَ ذُو عَهْدٍ فِي عَهْدِهِ

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Fighting a Muslim is Kufr and defaming him is evildoing." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4104)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ قِتَالُ الْمُسْلِمِ كُفْرٌ وَسِبَابُهُ فِسْقٌ

[AI] That the Prophet ﷺ ruled that a Muslim should not be killed by a non-believer.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَضَى أَنْ لَا يُقْتَلَ مُسْلِمٌ بِكَافِرٍ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said in his sermon, while he was leaning his back against the Kaaba, "A Muslim should not be killed in retaliation for a disbeliever, nor should someone who has a covenant be killed during his covenant."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ وَهُوَ مُسْنِدٌ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ لَا يُقْتَلُ مُسْلِمٌ بِكَافِرٍ وَلَا ذُو عَهْدٍ فِي عَهْدِهِ

“A Muslim should not be killed in retaliation for the murder of a disbeliever.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2659)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُقْتَلُ مُسْلِمٌ بِكَافِرٍ وَلَا ذُو عَهْدٍ فِي عَهْدِهِ

”A believer should not be killed in retaliation for the murder of a disbeliever, and a person who has a treaty should not be killed during the time of the treaty.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2660)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُقْتَلُ مُؤْمِنٌ بِكَافِرٍوَلَا ذُو عَهْدٍ فِي عَهْدِهِ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Ali ibn Husayn ibn Ali from Umar ibn Uthman ibn Affan from Usama ibn Zayd that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A muslim does not inherit from a kafir."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَرِثُ الْمُسْلِمُ الْكَافِرَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not harm a Muslim by insulting a non-believer."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تُؤْذُوا مُسْلِمًا بِشَتْمِ كَافِرٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Muslims protect each other, their blood is equal, and a believer is not killed for an unbeliever, nor is a person with a covenant killed within their covenant."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْمُسْلِمُونَ يَدٌ عَلَى مَنْ سِوَاهُمْ تَتَكَافَأُ دِمَاؤُهُمْ لَا يُقْتَلُ مُؤْمِنٌ بِكَافِرٍ وَلَا ذُو عَهْدٍ فِي عَهْدِهِ»

The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "Fighting a Muslim is Kufr and defaming him is evildoing." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4104)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «قَتْلُ الْمُسْلِمِ كُفْرٌ وَسِبَابُهُ فُسُوقٌ»

ʿThe believers are equal in respect of blood and they are one against their enemies; protection given even by the least among them is to be honoured, but no believer is to be killed (in retaliation) for a disbeliever and no one who has a covenant is to be killed during the covenant.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 991)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يُقْتَلُ مُؤْمِنٌ بِكَافِرٍ وَلَا ذُو عَهْدٍ فِي عَهْدِهِ وَالْمُسْلِمُونَ يَدٌ عَلَى مَنْ سِوَاهُمْ تَتَكَافَأُ دِمَاؤُهُمْ

"Every Muslim is upon the fiṭrah (natural disposition)."

"الْفِطْرَةُ عَلَى كُل مُسْلِم" .

"الموت كفَّارةٌ لِكُلِّ مسلم ".

"لا تُؤْذُوا مُسْلِمًا بِشَتْمِ كَافِرٍ".

"لا يُؤْذَيَنَّ مُسْلِمٌ بِكَافِرٍ".

"لا يُقْتَلُ مُؤْمِنٌ بِكَافِرٍ، وَلا ذُو عَهْدٍ فِي عَهْدِهِ".

"عَن عَلِىٍّ قَال: مِنَ السُّنَّةِ أَن لاَّ يُقْتَلَ مُسْلِمٌ بكَافِرٍ، ومِنَ السّنَّة أن لاَّ يُقتَلَ حُرٌّ بِعَبْدٍ".

"عَنِ الشَّعْبِىِّ قَالَ: مِنَ السُّنَّةِ لَا يُقْتَلُ مُسْلِمٌ بِكَافِرٍ".
