when a fly alights in anyone’s vessel, he should plunge it all in, for in one of its wings there is a disease, and in the other is a cure. It prevents the wing of it is which there is a cure, so plunge it all in (the vessel).

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَامْقُلُوهُ فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءً وَفِي الآخَرِ شِفَاءً وَإِنَّهُ يَتَّقِي بِجَنَاحِهِ الَّذِي فِيهِ الدَّاءُ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ كُلَّهُ

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ: When a fly falls into one of your containers, let it be submerged, for indeed in one of its wings there is a cure and in the other there is a disease.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ شِفَاءً وَالْآخَرِ دَاءً

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said: If a fly falls into one of your utensils, then dip it entirely, for one of its wings carries a disease and the other carries a cure.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءً وَفِي الْآخَرِ دَوَاءً

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Indeed, in one of the wings of the fly there is a disease, and in the other there is a cure. So if the fly falls into the vessel of one of you, then let him immerse it and then take it out."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ الذُّبَابَ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءٌ وَفِي الْآخَرِ شِفَاءٌ فَإِذَا وَقَعَ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ يَتَّقِي بِالَّذِي فِيهِ الدَّاءُ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُهُ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "If a fly falls into the vessel of one of you, then dip it in and take it out, for indeed in one of its wings there is a disease, and in the other, there is a cure." Hammād and Habīb bin al-Shahīd narrated from Muhammad bin Sīrīn, from Abu Huraira, from the Prophet ﷺ with a similar wording.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءً وَفِي الْآخَرِ دَوَاءً قَالَ حَمَّادٌ وَحَبِيبُ بْنُ الشَّهِيدِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ and from Habib ibn Al-Shahid, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ who said: "If a fly falls into one of your containers, immerse it in it, for indeed in one of its wings there is a disease, and in the other wing there is a cure." And Affan said once: "Indeed, in one of its wings there is..."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَعَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ الشَّهِيدِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءً وَالْآخَرِ دَوَاءً وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ مَرَّةً فَإِنَّ أَحَدَ جَنَاحَيْهِ

عَنِ النَّبِي ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا وقع الذباب أو سقط في إناء أحدكم فليغمسه فإن في إحدى جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءً وَفِي الآخَرِ شِفَاءً وَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عن أيوب وحبيب إِلا حمَّاد بْنُ سَلَمة

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When a fly falls into the vessel of any one of you, let him dip it (in the vessel) completely and then remove it, for one of its wings has a disease and the other has the cure." And 'Amr bin 'Ali narrated it to Ibn 'Ajlan, on the authority of Al-Qa'qa' bin Hakim from Abu Salih, on the authority of Abu Hurairah in a similar manner.

"إِذَا وقَعَ الذُّبابُ في إناء أحدكُمْ فليغْمِسْهُ فإِنَّ في أحد جناحَيه داءً وفي الآخرِ شفاءً، وإنَّه يَتَّقى بجناحِه الَّذِي فيه الدَّاءُ، فَليغْمِسْه كلَّه، ثم ليَنْزِعْهُ" .
