AbdulAziz ibn Rufay' narrated on the authority of some people from the descendants of Abdullah ibn Safwan who reported the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: Have you weapons, Safwan? He asked: On loan or by force? He replied: No, but on loan. So he lent him coats of mail numbering between thirty and forty! The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fought the battle of Hunayn. When the polytheists were defeated, the coats of mail of Safwan were collected. Some of them were lost. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Safwan: We have lost some coats of mail from your coats of mail. Should we pay compensation to you? He replied: No. Messenger of Allah, for I have in my heart today what I did not have that day. Abu Dawud said: He lent him before embracing Islam. Then he embraced Islam.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a message to Safwan ibn Umayyah regarding a tool that was mentioned to him. He asked him for it, and Safwan said, "Where is the security? Will you take it by force?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If you want to keep your tool, then keep it. But if you show it to me, it will be a guarantee for me until I return it to you." Safwan said, "There is no problem with that, and I have shown it to you." On that day, he gave him one hundred shields and their tools. Safwan was heavily armed, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Carry them for us." So Safwan carried them. Then he mentioned the incident in the Battle of Hunayn, where a man from the Quraysh passed by Safwan ibn Umayyah and said to him, "Rejoice in Muhammad's defeat and the defeat of his companions." Safwan said to him, "Have you given me good news about the appearance of the Bedouins? By Allah, a lord from the Quraysh is dearer to me than a lord from the Bedouins." Safwan ibn Umayyah then sent his servant to listen to whose slogan it was. The servant came back and said, "I heard them saying, 'O sons of Abdur-Rahman, O sons of Abdullah, O sons of Ubaidullah'." Safwan said, "Muhammad has appeared," and that was their slogan in the war. This is the wording of the hadith of Musa ibn Uqbah and the meaning of the hadith of Uruwah.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , carried out the expedition of Al-Fath (the Conquest) which was the conquest of Mecca. The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , left the city in Ramadan and on that day, he gave Safwan ibn Umayyah one hundred favors, then another hundred, then another hundred. Ibn Shihab said: Sa'id ibn Al-Musayyib narrated to me that Safwan ibn Umayyah said: By Allah, the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , gave me what he gave me, even though he disliked me the most. He did not stop giving me until he became the person whom he loved the most.
[Machine] The prophet Muhammad ﷺ was never asked about anything regarding Islam except that he granted it to them. So, a man came and asked him, and the prophet Muhammad ﷺ commanded him to take some sheep between two mountains. The man then returned to his people and said, "O people, embrace Islam, for Muhammad has given a gift that will eliminate poverty."
O people, embrace Islam. By Allah, Muhammad donates so much as if he did not fear want. Anas said that the person embraced Islam for the sake of the world but later he became Muslim until Islam became dearer to him than the world and what it contains. (Using translation from Muslim 2312b)
