We used to practice coitus interrupt us during the lifetime of Messenger of Allah ﷺ .

كُنَّا نَعْزِلُ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

We used to practise 'azl during the lifetime of Messenger of Allah ﷺ. This (the news of this practise) reached Allah's Apostle ﷺ, and he did not forbid us.

كُنَّا نَعْزِلُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ يَنْهَنَا

'We used to practice coitus interruptus during the time of the Messenger of Allah when the Qur'an was being revealed.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1927)

عَنْ جَابِرٍ كُنَّا نَعْزِلُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَالْقُرْآنُ يَنْزِلُ

[AI] “We used to make it during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.”

كُنَّا نَصْنَعُهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

[AI] He said, "We enjoyed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not prohibit us from it after that, nor did any prohibition descend from Allah regarding it."

أَنَّهُ قَالَ تَمَتَّعْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ يَنْهَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ عَنْهَا وَلَمْ يَنْزِلْ مِنَ اللهِ فِيهَا نَهْيٌ

I offered the Friday prayer along with Anas ibn Malik. We were pushed to the pillars (due to the crowd of people). We, therefore, stopped forward and backward. Anas then said: We used to avoid it (setting a row between the pillars) during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 673)

«كُنَّا نَتَّقِي هَذَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

[AI] "We used to isolate ourselves during the era of the Prophet ﷺ and he never prohibited us from doing so."

«كُنَّا نَعْزِلُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ يَنْهَنَا عَنْهُ»

[AI] We enjoyed it during the time of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , and he did not prohibit us from it, and Allah did not reveal anything regarding it.

«تَمَتَّعْنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ يَنْهَنَا عَنْهَا وَلَمْ يُنْزِلِ اللهُ ﷻ فِيهَا شَيْئًا»
