11. Anṣār (7/12)
[Machine] "He (Abu Dharr) was with Abu Dharr when his servant girl went out with him, and she started fulfilling his needs. He then had a surplus of seven (dirhams), so he commanded her to buy gold coins with it. I said to him, 'If you had saved it for a need that you might have or for guests who might come to you?' He said, 'Indeed, my friend (the Prophet) commanded me that any gold or silver that came to me and I didn't spend it in the path of Allah, it would be like a burning ember on me until I emptied it in the path of Allah.'"
[Machine] He informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The people who love me the most among my Ummah (nation) are those who will come after me. Each one of them would love to see me even by sacrificing his family and wealth."
That the Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed the best of what the gray may be changed with is Henna' and Katam." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1753)
[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "There is no power or strength except with Allah, from the treasures of Jannah (Paradise)."
“I heard Abu Dharr say: ‘The Prophet ﷺ stood reciting a Verse and repeating it until morning came. That Verse was: “If you punish them, they are Your slaves, and if You forgive them, verily You, only You, are the All- Mighty, the All-Wise.’”” [5:118] (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1350)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Pray the prayer at its prescribed time."
"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Which mosque was built first?' He said: 'Al-Masjid Al-Haram (in Makkah).' I said: 'Then which?' He said: 'then Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa (in Jerusalem).' I said: 'How many years between them?' He said: 'Forty years, but the whole earth is a mosque for you, so pray wherever you are when the time for prayer comes.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 753)
[Machine] I said to Abu Dharr, "If I had met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I would have asked him." He said, "About what?" I said, "Have you seen your Lord?" He said, "I have asked him and he responded, 'I saw a light. How could I see Him when He is on the path of affirmation?'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "On the Day of Judgment, a man will be brought forward and it will be said to him: 'Present to him the minor sins he committed.' So, they will be presented to him and the major sins will be hidden from him. Then, it will be said to him: 'You have done such and such on such and such a day.' He will accept it without denying, and he will fear the consequences of the major sins. Then, it will be said to him: 'Grant him a reward in place of every evil deed he has done.' He will say: 'But I have some sins that I do not see.' Abu Dharr said: 'I have indeed seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laugh until his molars appeared.'"
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Ya'la narrated to us from Al-A'mash, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Abdur-Rahman ibn Ghanm, from Abu Dharr, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "Should I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Jannah? There is no strength or power except with Allah."
[Machine] To me, the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "O Abu Dharr, look at the highest man in the mosque." So I looked and saw a man wearing fancy clothes. I said, "This one?" The Prophet, ﷺ , said to me, "Look at the lowest man in the mosque." So I looked and saw a man with good manners. I said, "This one?" Then the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "This man will have a higher status with Allah on the Day of Resurrection than the whole earth filled with people like the one above."
[Machine] I was walking with the Prophet ﷺ in the mosque, and he said, "O Abu Dharr, lift up your head and look at the tallest man in the mosque," then he mentioned the narration.
[Machine] "And he said, 'Goodness in the sight of Allah is closer than this and that,' Abu Muawiyah said it from Zaid."
“The wealthiest will be the lowest on the Day of Resurrection, except those who do such and such with their money, and earn it from good sources.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4130)
It was said to Messenger of Allah ﷺ: What is your opinion about the person who has done good deeds and the people praise him? He said: It is glad tidings for a believer (which he has received in this mortal world). (Using translation from Muslim 2642a)
the Messenger of Allah said: “There is no now owner of camels, sheeps or cattle who does not pay Zakat on them, but they will come on the Day of Resurrection as big and as fat as they ever were, butting him with their horns and trampling him with their hooves. Every time the of them has passed, the first of them will come back to him, until judgment is passed upon the people.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1785)
“I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the all-black dog and he said: ‘(It is) a devil.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3210)
[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, advise me." He said, "Fear Allah wherever you are, and follow up a bad deed with a good deed which will erase it, and behave well towards people." And he also narrated to us by Waki' from Maymun ibn Abi Shaybah who narrated it from Mu'adh, then he returned.
The Prophet ﷺ as saying: There are three to whom Allah will not speak and at whom He will not look on the Day of Resurrection, and whom He will not declare pure, and they will have a painful punishment. I asked: Who are they, Messenger of Allah, they are losers and disappointed ? He repeated it three times. I asked: Who are they. Messenger of Allah, they are losers and disappointed ? He replied: The one who wears a trailing robe, the one who takes account of what he gives, and the one who produces a ready sale of a commodity by false swearing. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4087)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Ibn Ja'far Al-Mannan mentioned the Hadith, saying, 'He who has been given and is generous and let his clothes go past his ankles.'"
I asked the Prophet ﷺ about the Statement of Allah:-- 'And the sun runs on fixed course for a term (decreed), ' (36.38) He said, "Its course is underneath "Allah's Throne." (Prostration of Sun trees, stars. mentioned in Qur'an and Hadith does not mean like our prostration but it means that these objects are obedient to their Creator (Allah) and they obey for what they have been created for). (Using translation from Bukhārī 4803)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Look, for you are not better than a red or black person, except if you surpass them in taqwa (piety)."
Three are the persons with whom Allah would not speak on the Day of Resurrection: the bestower of gift who does not give anything but by laying obligation on him, the seller of goods who sells them by taking false oath and one who hangs low his lower garment. (Using translation from Muslim 106b)
"Allah has made some of your brothers as slaves under your care. So whoever has his brother under his care, then let him feed him from his food, and let him clothe him from his clothes. And do not give him a duty that he cannot bear, and if you give him a duty he cannot bear, then assist him with it." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1945)
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah did not send any prophet except in the language of his people."
[Machine] I said: O Messenger of Allah, the people of wealth and abundance have surpassed us in a clear advantage. They pray and fast as we pray and fast, but they have wealth that they give in charity, while we do not have wealth. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Shall I not inform you of an action that if you do it, you will catch up to those who came before you and surpass those who come after you? No one does the same action as you but you: For every prayer you recite thirty-three times, Subhanallah (glory be to Allah), thirty-three times Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah) and thirty-four times Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest).
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was sitting in the shade of the Kaaba and said, "So I approached and when he saw me he said, 'They are the losers, by the Lord of the Kaaba.' So I sat and did not feel comfortable approaching him, so I said, 'Who are they, for the sake of my father and mother?' He said, 'They are the majority, except for those who give in this way and that way and that way, and they are few.'"
[Machine] I reached the village and found myself with Abu Dhar, who had met me with the provisions he had collected and distributed. He had tied a camel with a rope around its neck so that it could drink and provide water for its companions. He had a noble character, one of the noble qualities of the Arabs. I said to him, "What is wrong with you, Abu Dhar?" He replied, "It is my job." I said, "Yes, Abu Dhar, but haven't you heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say?" He said, "I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever spends on two wives from his wealth, the gates of Jannah will be open for him.'" We asked, "Who are these two wives?" He said, "If they are men, then they are two men. If they are horses, then they are two horses. If they are camels, then they are two camels. Until all categories of wealth are counted." I said, "O Abu Dhar, have you not heard anything else from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" He said, "I have heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'There are no two Muslims who lose three children before they reach the age of puberty, except that Allah will admit them to Jannah by His mercy for those children.'"
[Machine] "About the Prophet ﷺ, he said: I heard him say that a caller came to me from my Lord and gave me glad tidings that the Mahdi is coming. Indeed, whoever dies from my Ummah (Muslim community) without associating partners with Allah will enter Paradise. I asked: What if he committed adultery or theft? He replied: Even if he committed adultery or theft."
[Machine] My beloved Prophet commanded me seven things. He commanded me to love the poor and associate with them, and he commanded me to look to those who are beneath me and not to those who are above me. He commanded me to maintain family ties even if they turn away from me, and he commanded me not to ask anyone for anything. He commanded me to speak the truth even if it is bitter, and he commanded me not to fear the blame of anyone in Allah's cause. He commanded me to say "There is no power or might except with Allah" frequently, as they are treasures under the Throne.
[Machine] Asmaa he said that he entered upon Abu Dharr while he was at his straw mat and he had with him a black woman who was filled with desire so there were no traces of beauty or any other adornment on her. He said, "Do you not see what you are ordering me regarding this black woman? You are ordering me to go to Iraq and when I go to Iraq, they will overpower me by their worldly belongings and indeed my close friend ﷺ has entrusted me to avoid a path that has the sound of hellfire, instability, and confusion. Indeed, we will pass by it, and we have the ability to face it, and rain will come as well, with rain the whole conversation is in agreement that one of them said, "We will pass over it and we have the ability to face it" and the other two said, "We will pass over it and we have the ability to destroy it." It is better for us to save ourselves rather than pass over it and we are like grasshoppers.

[Machine] We fasted with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during Ramadan and he did not perform night prayers with us until it was the night of the twenty-fourth. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in prayer until almost one-third of the night had passed. Then, on the following night, he did not perform night prayers with us. But on the night of the twenty-sixth, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in prayer until almost half of the night had passed. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, if you could only voluntarily pray with us for the rest of this night." He said, "No, for if a man prays with the imam until he finishes, it is counted as the whole night for him." Then, on the following night, he did not perform night prayers with us. But when it was the night of the twenty-eight, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gathered his family and the people gathered for him, and he led us in prayer until we almost missed the pre-dawn meal. I asked, "What is the pre-dawn meal?" He said, "Suhoor (the meal before dawn prayer)." Then, after that night, he did not perform night prayers with us, O son of my brother, for the remainder of the month.

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ in what he narrates from his Lord ﷻ: "Indeed, I have forbidden oppression upon myself and upon My servants. So, do not oppress one another. All of the children of Adam are prone to error, day and night, but they who seek forgiveness from Me are forgiven and it is of no concern to Me. O children of Adam, all of you are astray except those whom I have guided. And all of you are naked except those whom I have clothed. And all of you are hungry except those whom I have fed. So, seek from Me and I will provide for you. O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, the jinn of you and the humans of you, the young of you and the old of you, the males of you and the females of you, and the clean of you and the impure of you—all of you were to stand upon the heart of the most righteous among you, then that would not increase My dominion over you in anything. And if the first of you and the last of you, the jinn of you and the humans of you, the young of you and the old of you, the males of you and the females of you, and the clean of you and the impure of you—all of you were to stand upon the heart of the most wicked among you, then that would not decrease My dominion over you in anything. For My dominion is like the ocean, and the needle of a sewing machine is like your dominion."

"Ziyad delayed the prayer, then Ibn Samit came to me and I gave him a chair and he sat on it. I told him what Ziyad had done and he bit his lip (in disapproval), and he struck me on the thigh and said: 'I asked Abu Dharr the same question you asked me, and he struck me on the thigh as I struck you on the thigh and said: I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ the same question as you have asked me and he struck me on the thigh as I have struck you on the thigh and said: Offer the prayer on time, and if you catch up with them, then pray with them, and do not say: 'I have already prayed so I will not pray(now)."' The messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When anyone of you stands to pray, then he is screened if he has in front of him something as high as the back of a camel saddle. If he does not have something as high as the back of a camel saddle in front of him, then his prayer is nullified by a woman, a donkey or a black dog." I (one of the narrators)said: "What is the difference between a black dog, a yellow one and a red one?" He said: I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ just like you and he said:"The black dog is a shaitan." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 750)

[Machine] I arrived to the city and while I was in a gathering of Quraish, a man came and mentioned something. I followed him until he sat down by a wall. I said, "I have only seen these people disliking what you said." He said, "Indeed, my beloved, Aba Al-Qasim ﷺ , called me. He said, 'O Abu Dharr!' and I responded to him. He said, 'Do you see anyone?' I looked up towards the sun, thinking that he was about to send me on an errand. So, I said, 'I see him.' He said, 'What brings me joy is that I have the same amount of gold that I will spend all except for three dinars.'"

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ mentioned things for which a person will be rewarded, until he mentioned the issues that disturb his family. They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, will he be rewarded for his desires that he fulfills?" He replied, "Consider this: if he were to do something sinful, wouldn't he bear the burden of it?" They said, "Yes." He said, "Likewise, he will be rewarded for it."

[Machine] My close friend ﷺ advised me with three things: Listen and obey, even if it is by a slave whose limbs have been cut off. And when you make a soup, add more water to it, then give it to the neighbors from your household, treating them well. Pray your prayers in their designated times. And if you find the Imam has already prayed, then you have accomplished your prayer. Otherwise, it is a voluntary prayer.
