قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «طَعَامُ الْوَاحِدِ يَكْفِي الِاثْنَيْنِ وَطَعَامُ الِاثْنَيْنِ يَكْفِي الْأَرْبَعَةَ»

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The food for two persons is sufficient for three, and the food of three persons is sufficient for four persons."
أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ طَعَامُ الاِثْنَيْنِ كَافِي الثَّلاَثَةِ وَطَعَامُ الثَّلاَثَةِ كَافِي الأَرْبَعَةِ
Food for two persons suffices three persons and food for three persons suffices four persons.

“The food of one person is sufficient for two, the food of two is sufficient for four, and the food for four is sufficient for eight.”

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z-Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The food of two is enough for three, and the food of three is enough for four."

"طَعَامُ الاثنَينِ كَافٍ الثَّلَاثَةَ، وَطَعَامُ الثَّلَاثَةِ كَافٍ الأَرْبَعَةَ".
"طَعَامُ الْوَاحِدِ يَكْفِي الاثْنَينِ، وَطَعَامُ الاثْنَين يَكْفِي الأَرْبعةَ، وطَعامُ الأَرْبَعَةِ يَكْفى الثَّمَانِيَةَ".
