[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you perform the funeral prayer, recite the opening chapter of the Quran."  

الطبراني:٢٠٨٧٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ الْعَمِّيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمْرَانَ ثنا مَرْزُوقٌ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الشَّامِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا صَلَّيْتُمْ عَلَى الْجِنَازَةِ فاقْرَءُوا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ»
