I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "There will be twelve Muslim rulers (who will rule all the Islamic world)." He then said a sentence which I did not hear. My father said, "All of them (those rulers) will be from Quraish."
[AI] There was a man who said, "O Abu Abdullah! Did you ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ how many caliphs this Ummah would have?" Abdullah replied, "No one has asked me about it since I came to Iraq before you." Then he said, "Yes, we did ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said there would be twelve caliphs, similar to the number of heads of the Bani Israel."
[AI] From the hadith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said: The religion will continue to exist until there are twelve caliphs from the Quraysh. Then, liars will appear before the Hour comes. Then, a group of Muslims will come out and bring out the treasure of the white palace. They will defeat the Persians and the descendants of the Persians. And when Allah bestows goodness upon one of you, let them begin with themselves and their family. And I am the one who will be at the forefront on the Day of Resurrection.
[AI] " I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say during his farewell pilgrimage: 'Verily, this religion will always remain apparent and no one will harm it by opposing or deviating from it until twelve caliphs have passed from my Ummah.' Then he said something that I did not understand, so I asked my father, 'What did he say?' He replied, 'All of them will be from the Quraysh.'"
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say during the Farewell Pilgrimage, "This religion will continue to be dominant as long as there are those who follow it. No opponent or seceder will harm it until the passage of all twelve leaders from my Ummah." Then my father whispered to me the words of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. My father was closer to the ride of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than me and I said, "Dear father, what did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ whisper?" He said, "All of them will be from the Quraysh ˹tribe˺."
I wrote (a letter) to Jabir b. Samura and sent it to him through my servant Nafi', asking him to inform me of something he had heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He wrote to me (in reply): I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say on Friday evening, the day on which al-Aslami was stoned to death (for committing adultery): The Islamic religion will continue until the Hour has been established, or you have been ruled over by twelve Caliphs, all of them being from the Quraish. also heard him say: A small force of the Muslims will capture the white palace, the police of the Persian Emperor or his descendants. I also heard him say: Before the Day of Judgment there will appear (a number of) impostors. You are to guard against them. I also heard him say: When God grants wealth to any one of you, he should first spend it on himself and his family (and then give it in charity to the poor). I heard him (also) say: I will be your forerunner at the Cistern (expecting your arrival). (Using translation from Muslim 1822a)

[AI] I and my father came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was saying, "This matter will continue to be good until there are twelve leaders." Then he said a word that I did not understand, so I asked my father, "What did he say?" He said, "He said, 'All of them will be from Quraysh.'"
[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "After me, there will be twelve leaders." Then he spoke something which I could not understand. He said, so I asked someone who was with me, "What did he say?" He said, "All of them are from the Quraysh."
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "A group among my Ummah will continue to follow the truth and prevail, and those who oppose them will not be able to harm them, until the command of Allah comes to pass." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 10)
[AI] I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I heard him saying, "The affairs of this nation will remain apparent until twelve caliphs rise." Then he said something that I couldn't understand, and my father was closer to him than me, so I asked him, "What did he say?" He replied, "All of them will be from Quraysh." Jabir ibn Samurah also narrated another hadith from his father.
[AI] I was with my uncle in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ and he said, "The affair of my Ummah (nation) will continue to be righteous as long as there are twelve caliphs." Then he said a word and lowered his voice with it. So, I asked my uncle, who was in front of me, what did he say, O uncle? He said, "He said, O my son, 'All of them will be from Quraysh.'"
[AI] We were sitting one night with Abdullah and he was reciting the Quran to us. A man asked him, "O Abu Abdur Rahman, did you ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ how many caliphs this Ummah will have?" Abdullah replied, "No one has asked me about this since I came to Iraq before you." He said, "We asked him and he said, 'The caliphs of the Children of Israel were twelve in number.'" I cannot tolerate discussing the narration from Mujalid and his contemporaries in this book; may Allah have mercy on them. Adh-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the summary.
