ahmad:20817Ibn Numayr > Mujālid > ʿĀmir > Jābir b. Samurah al-Suwāʾī

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say during the Farewell Pilgrimage, "This religion will continue to be dominant as long as there are those who follow it. No opponent or seceder will harm it until the passage of all twelve leaders from my Ummah." Then my father whispered to me the words of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. My father was closer to the ride of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than me and I said, "Dear father, what did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ whisper?" He said, "All of them will be from the Quraysh ˹tribe˺."
