21. Marriage
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with, her) reported that it had been revealed in the Holy Qur'an that ten clear sucklings make the marriage unlawful, then it was abrogated (and substituted) by five sucklings and Allah's Apostle ﷺ died and it was before that time (found) in the Holy Qur'an (and recited by the Muslims). (Using translation from Muslim 1452a)
[Machine] And it is said that a woman from the Ansar freed him until what was revealed in them was revealed, "Call them by [the names of] their fathers; it is more just in the sight of Allah." [Al-Ahzab: 5]. So Sahla bint Suhail, the wife of Abu Hudhaifa, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Messenger of Allah, we adopted Salim and Allah has revealed what you know. And he enters upon me and I am of attractiveness, and we have only one house." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Breastfeed him." So she breastfed him five times and he would enter upon her and he was a man of attractiveness on that day.
