The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray in the folds of the sheep and goats before the mosque was built.  

مسلم:٥٢٤b – حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُبْنَى الْمَسْجِدُ

Prior to the construction of the mosque, the Prophet ﷺ offered the prayers at sheep-folds.  

البخاري:٢٣٤ – حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ أَنْ يُبْنَى الْمَسْجِدُ فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ  

bukhari:429 – Sulaymān b. Ḥarb > Shuʿbah > Abū al-Tayyāḥ > Anas

Anas said, "The Prophet ﷺ prayed in the sheep fold." Later on I heard him saying, "He prayed in the sheep folds before the construction of the, mosque."  

البخاري:٤٢٩ – حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ ثُمَّ سَمِعْتُهُ بَعْدُ يَقُولُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُبْنَى الْمَسْجِدُ  

tirmidhi:350 – Muḥammad b. Bashhār > Yaḥyá b. Saʿīd > Shuʿbah > Abū al-Tayyāḥ al-Ḍubaʿī > Anas b. Mālik

"The Prophet would perform Salat in sheep pens."  

الترمذي:٣٥٠ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ الضُّبَعِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَأَبُو التَّيَّاحِ الضُّبَعِيُّ اسْمُهُ يَزِيدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ
