Prior to the construction of the mosque, the Prophet ﷺ offered the prayers at sheep-folds.

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ أَنْ يُبْنَى الْمَسْجِدُ فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ

Anas said, "The Prophet ﷺ prayed in the sheep fold." Later on I heard him saying, "He prayed in the sheep folds before the construction of the, mosque."

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ ثُمَّ سَمِعْتُهُ بَعْدُ يَقُولُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُبْنَى الْمَسْجِدُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray in the folds of the sheep and goats before the mosque was built.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُبْنَى الْمَسْجِدُ

"The Prophet would perform Salat in sheep pens."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ

Allah Apostle prayed while I was lying like a dead body on his family bed between him and his Qibla. (Using translation from Bukhārī 383)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ «يُصَلِّي وَهِيَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ عَلَى فِرَاشِ أَهْلِهِ اعْتِرَاضَ الْجَنَازَةِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray in the sheepfolds before he built the mosque.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَبْنِيَ الْمَسْجِدَ يُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ

[AI] Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, ﷺ , said that the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , used to pray at night while I was in between him and the Qibla.

أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray while I was between him and the Qiblah.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ

[AI] The translation of the passage into English is: "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray while I am between him and the qiblah (direction of prayer). Ibn Ja'far said, Sa'd was narrating this and I think he had mentioned it while she (referring to Aisha) was menstruating."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ قَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ سَعْدٌ وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَدْ قَالَ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ

Anas said, "The Prophet ﷺ prayed in the sheep fold." Later on I heard him saying, "He prayed in the sheep folds before the construction of the, mosque." (Using translation from Bukhārī 429)

«كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ»

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray during the night while I was asleep between him and the qibla, and when he reached Witr, he would awaken me."

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا نَائِمَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ فَإِذَا كَانَ عِنْدَ الْوِتْرِ أَيْقَظَنِي»

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to separate between the two prostrations in prayer and the odd units."

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَ الشَّفْعِ وَالْوِتْرِ»

قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ قَبْلَ أن يبنى البيت

[AI] "That the messenger of Allah ﷺ used to be called Abu Salih."

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَنَّاهُ أَبَا صَالِحٍ»

" كان رسول الله ﷺ يصلى في مرابط الغنم قبل أن يُبنى المسجد".

"كُنَا نُصَلِّى في مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَم، وَلاَ نُصَلِّى في أَعْطَانِ الإِبِلِ".

"كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ [يُصَلِّي] وَإِنِّي لَمُعْتَرِضَةٌ عَلَى السَّرِيرِ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ".
