I heard Ibn Umar as saying that he had heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying like this (as mentioned above) but with a slight variation of wording [that instead of the word thaub (cloth) there is the word thiyab (the clothes) ].  

مسلم:٢٠٨٥f – وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَالِمًا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مِثْلَهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ثِيَابَهُ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mutim that his father said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite at-Tur (Sura 52) in the maghrib prayer."  

مالك:٣-٢٤ – حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَرَأَ بِالطُّورِ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ
