The Prophet ﷺ said: Supplication (du'a') is itself the worship. (He then recited:) "And your Lord said: Call on Me, I will answer you" (xI.60). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1479)   

الحاكم:١٨٠٢ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَارُونَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ وَالْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنْ يُسَيْعٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ هُوَ الْعِبَادَةُ» ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ} [غافر 60]  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ شُعْبَةُ وَجَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ ذَرٍّ وَأَمَّا حَدِيثُ شُعْبَةَ

tirmidhi:3247 – Muḥammad b. Bashhār > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Mahdī > Sufyān > Manṣūr And al-Aʿmash > Dhar > Yusayʿ al-Ḥaḍramī > al-Nuʿmān b. Bashīr

that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Supplication is the worship." Then he recited: 'And your Lord said: 'Call upon Me, I will answer you. Verily, those who scorn my My worship, they will surely enter Hell in humiliation (40:60).'"  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.
الترمذي:٣٢٤٧ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ وَالأَعْمَشِ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنْ يُسَيْعٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ الدُّعَاءُ هُوَ الْعِبَادَةُ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ ( وقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ )  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

the Messenger of Allah (saas) said: "Indeed the supplication is the worship." Then he recited: "And your Lord said: Invoke Me, I will respond to you."
