He heard the Messenger of Allah saying: "Indeed the Corner and the Maqam are two corundums from the corundum of Paradise. Allah removed their lights, and if their lights had not been removed then they would illuminate what is between east and the west." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 878)

If it were not for that, they would have illuminated what is between the heavens and the earth, or what is between the East and the West." This is what Yunus Rajaa bin Yahya said, and A'ffan Rajaa Abu Yahya also said the same.
لَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْحَجَرَ وَالْمَقَامَ يَاقُوتَتَانِ مِنْ يَاقُوتِ الْجَنَّةِ طَمَسَ اللهُ نُورَهُمَا لَوْلَا ذَلِكَ لَأَضَاءَتَا مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَوْ مَا بَيْنَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ كَذَا قَالَ يُونُسُ رَجَاءُ بْنُ يَحْيَى وقَالَ عَفَّانُ رَجَاءُ أَبُو يَحْيَى
