1. Book of Faith (1/6)
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Do not curse with the curse of Allah, or with the anger of Allah, or with the fire." "These are the hadiths that he mentioned in this chapter, all of them are authentic in their chains of narration." Its chain of narration is authentic.
that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say: “Indeed, Allah is generous, he loves those of elevated character and dislikes those of inferior ˹character˺.”
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah is generous and loves generosity and noble manners, and despises obscenity."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah is generous and loves generosity and noble deeds, and He hates vulgarity or indecency." This does not weaken the narration of Sahl ibn Sa'd on what I have mentioned earlier regarding accepting additional information from trustworthy individuals, and Allah knows best.
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ once met a Bedouin man wearing a cloak made of camel hair, blindfolded with a dirty piece of cloth. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Your companion here wants to elevate every shepherd and their son, and to bring down every nobleman and their son." The Prophet ﷺ then stood and sat down, and said, "When death was near for Prophet Noah ﷺ , he called his sons and said to them, 'I will give you some advice. I command you with two things and forbid you from two things. I command you to avoid associating partners with Allah and to avoid pride. And I command you to believe in the oneness of Allah, for if the heavens and the earth and everything in them were to be put on one side of a weighing scale, and the statement 'La ilaha illa Allah' (there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah) was to be put on the other side, the latter would outweigh them. And if the heavens and the earth and everything in them were to be turned into a ring and this statement was to be placed on it, it would shatter them." And the Prophet ﷺ concluded by saying, "I command you to glorify Allah and to praise Him, as it is the prayer for everything and through it everything is provided."
[Machine] "A man said to the Prophet ﷺ, 'I have never seen a man who gave more to the shepherd of sheep than Muhammad, and then he mentioned him in a way similar to Sahih Al-Isnad.'"
[Machine] "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Indeed, the punishment of this Ummah (nation) has been placed in its worldly life.'"
[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The punishment of my ummah (nation) is in this world."
[Machine] The plague was mentioned in front of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari. He said that we asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about it, and he said, "Your brothers or your enemies from the jinn, and it is their destruction, is a testimony."
[Machine] This phrase, "عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَحْوَهُعلى شرط مسلم" translates to "From the Prophet ﷺ like it upon the condition of a Muslim."
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever plays backgammon has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3762)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever plays with dice or says by the dice, he has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger." "And this is not a weak Hadith nor is it excusable, as Yazid ibn Abdullah ibn al-Had narrated it from Sa'id ibn Abi Hind."
[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ mentioning during his presence that "Whoever hits the dice, he is playing with that which disobeys Allah and His Messenger."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, the best of Allah's worshippers are those who pay attention to the sun, moon, stars, and shadows for the remembrance of Allah." Basheer ibn Musa said, "This hadith was not found with al-Humaidi in his Musnad. This is an authentic chain of narration and Abdul-Jabbar al-Attar is trustworthy. Muslim and Bukhari have relied on Ibrahim al-Sikassiki's narration, and if there is such correctness, it is not harmed by the criticism of those who have corrupted its chain of narration." The chain of narration is authentic.
[Machine] "And Abu al-Muwajjah informed us that Abdan reported from Abdullah who reported from Mis'ar, from Ibrahim al-Saksaki, who said: Our companions narrated to us from Abu al-Darda, that he said: Indeed, the most beloved of Allah's servants to Allah are those who make Allah beloved to people and those who show respect to the sun and the moon. This does not corrupt the first narration nor does it invalidate it, for Ibn Uyainah is a reliable memorizer (hafiz) and so is Ibn al-Mubarak, except that he has also brought other chains of narration similar to the meaning of the first hadith."
[Machine] Abu Al-Nadr Al-Faqih and Abu Al-Hasan Al-Anbari said: Uthman bin Sa'id Al-Darimi narrated to us, and Ahmad bin Ya'qub Al-Thaqafi narrated to me, then Muhammad bin Ayyub said, they all said: Muhammad bin Al-Subbah narrated to me from Sa'id bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jumahii from Ubaidullah bin Umar, he said: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Advise me." He said, "Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him, establish prayer, pay zakat, fast in the month of Ramadan, perform Hajj and Umrah, listen and obey."
[Machine] "And Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and you establish prayer, and give zakah, and fast in the month of Ramadan, and perform Hajj to the House, and you adhere to transparency and avoid secrecy, and you refrain from anything that you feel ashamed of." He (Umar) said, "When you meet Allah, say: 'O Allah, You commanded me with this, and Umar ibn al-Khattab said to me, 'O Abdullah, hold onto this.' So when you meet Allah, the Most High, say: 'What appears to You.'" Al-Qabbani said, "I asked Muhammad ibn Yahya, which narration is preserved - the narration of Yunus from al-Hasan from Umar, or the narration of Nafi from Ibn Umar?" So Muhammad ibn Yahya said, "The narration of al-Hasan is more similar."
No, by my father. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Stop it! whoever swears by anything other than Allah has committed an act of shirk.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 329)
[Machine] Omar used to swear by his father, so the Prophet ﷺ forbade him from doing so, and he said, "Whoever swears by anything other than Allah has committed shirk (associating partners with Allah)." The other person said, "So it is a form of shirk."
[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "Whoever swears by someone other than Allah has committed disbelief."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Modesty and shyness are branches of faith, while obscenity and rudeness are branches of hypocrisy."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Modesty is a part of faith, and faith is in Paradise. Indecency is a part of rudeness, and rudeness is in Hell." "And he has two reliable witnesses on the condition of a Muslim." Adh-Dhahabi remained silent about it in his summary.
“Modesty is part of faith, and faith will be in Paradise. Obscenity in speech is part of harshness and harshness will be in Hell.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4184)
[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated, who narrated from Yazid ibn Zuray', who was informed by Muhammad ibn Ya'qub al-Shaybani, who narrated from Yahya ibn Yahya, who narrated from Mousaddad, who narrated from Yazid ibn Zuray', who narrated from Khalid al-Hadha', who narrated from Abu Qilabah, who narrated from Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: 'The most perfect believers in faith are those with the best character, and the kindest to their families.'" The narrators of this hadith, from its end, are trustworthy according to the conditions of the two sheikhs, and they did not mention this wording. This hadith has a gap.
[Machine] Translation: "Quraysh people said to the Prophet ﷺ , 'Call upon your Lord to make Safa a gold for us, and we will believe in you.' The Prophet replied, 'Will you really do that?' They said, 'Yes.' So he supplicated, and then Gabriel came to him and said, 'Verily, Allah sends His greetings upon you and says, "If you wish, I can make Safa turn into gold, but whoever disbelieves after that, I will punish him with a punishment that I do not inflict upon anyone in the worlds. And if you wish, I can open for them the doors of repentance and mercy."' The Prophet said, 'Rather, it is the door of repentance and mercy.'"
[Machine] From Salamah ibn Kuhayl and Imran ibn Al-Hakam Al-Sulami, both being senior followers who considered this hadith as a weak one. They neglected this hadith and Allah knows best that there are contradictions in the chain narrated by Yahya ibn Salamah ibn Kuhayl, who is known to have many misconceptions compared to his father.
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What are you doing?" They said, "We are doing well." So Jibril came and said, "Be firm." Then Jibril came and said, "O Muhammad, indeed Allah has given you what you asked for. If you wish, the mountain of Safa will turn into gold for you, and whoever disbelieves after that, I will punish them with a punishment that I will not inflict on anyone in the world. And if you wish, I will open for them the door of repentance and submission." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The door of repentance and mercy is more beloved to me." "This confusion does not weaken the narration of Ath-Thawri, for I do not know Imran ibn Al-Ja'd among the followers, and Ismail ibn Abi Khalid only narrated from Imran ibn Al-Ja'd. As for Imran ibn Al-Ja'd, he is from the followers."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever commits a bad deed and dislikes it while doing it, and performs a good deed and feels happy about it, then he is a believer."
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Abu Dharr, fear Allah wherever you are, and follow a bad deed with a good deed, as it will erase it, and treat people with good manners."
[Machine] "O Messenger of Allah, advise me." He said, "Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him." He said, "O Messenger of Allah, tell me more." He said, "If you do evil, then do good." He said, "O Messenger of Allah, tell me more." He said, "Be upright and strive to improve your character."

[Machine] The one who acknowledges their sin and then leaves it behind, don't you hear the words of the poet [in Al-Bahr Al-Rajz]:
"If you forgive, O Allah, you forgive a multitude,
And no servant is like You, when he doesn't sin."
And this narration does not weaken the first evidence, as Zakariya ibn Ishaq is a trustworthy and reliable narrator, and Rawh ibn Ubada narrated from Zakariya. And I have mentioned in the conditions of this book the exclusion of interpretations from the companions.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You will not enter Paradise except those who refuse and wander astray from the path of Allah, like the stray camel." And he has another witness from Abu Umamah Al-Bahili.

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily, Allah has one hundred portions of mercy, of which He has distributed one portion among His creation in this world. Through this small portion, His creatures experience love, kindness, and mercy. Allah has kept ninety-nine portions of mercy for the Day of Resurrection, where He will shower His beloved servants with His immense mercy."

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Verily, Allah created on the day He created the heavens and the earth one hundred mercies. Each mercy encompasses the heavens and the earth. He distributed one mercy among all of His creation and kept ninety-nine mercies for Himself. On the Day of Judgment, He will restore this mercy, and thus it will become one hundred mercies, by which He will have mercy upon His servants." Another commentator, Jundub ibn Abdullah, also attested to this. Al-Dhahabi did not mention it in his summary.

[Machine] An Arab came with his camel. He tied its reins and then secured it. He prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished his prayer, the man went to his camel, removed its reins, and mounted it. Then he called out, "O Allah, have mercy on me and Muhammad and do not include anyone else in Your mercy." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "What are you saying? Is he (the camel) more misguided or you?" They replied, "We heard what he said." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, mercy is vast. Allah has created one hundred mercies, and He has sent down only one of them for His creation. Through this mercy, creatures show compassion to one another, including jinn, humans, and animals. Ninety-nine mercies remain with Allah. Do you consider him more misguided or you?"

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying in one of his prayers, "O Allah, reckon me with an easy reckoning." When he finished, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the reckoning?" He said, "It is to be examined in His book, and be pardoned. Verily, whoever undergoes reckoning on that day, O Aisha, he shall perish. Every hardship that afflicts a believer, even a thorn prick, will be expiation for him from Allah."

Allah will then relieve them of their burden and place it upon the Jews and Christians, and admit them to Paradise through His mercy."

Then a man asked him, "O Messenger of Allah, what are the major sins?" He replied, "They are nine: associating partners with Allah, killing a believer unjustly, fleeing from the battlefield, consuming the property of orphans, consuming interest, slandering chaste women, disobeying one's Muslim parents, participating in the violation of the sanctity of the Kaaba, whether you are alive or dead." Then he said, "A man does not die until he commits these major sins, establishes prayer, and gives Zakat, except that he will be with the Prophet ﷺ in a dwelling whose doors are made of gold." "This hadith has been cited through narrators other than Abd al-Hameed ibn Sinan. As for Umayr ibn Qatadah, he is a companion of the Prophet ﷺ and his son Ubaid agreed on its authenticity and its use as evidence." Umayr ibn Qatadah was a companion of the Prophet, and there was no need for Abd al-Hameed ibn Sinan to state that. I said this to clarify his ignorance and confirm his reliability according to Ibn Hibban.

Most hopeful verse in the Quran
[Machine] Abdullah ibn Abbas and Ibn Amr met and Ibn Abbas asked him, "Which verse in the Book of Allah do you find the most hopeful?" Ibn Amr replied, "O my servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah." (Surah Az-Zumar, 39:53) Ibn Abbas said, "But what about the statement of Ibrahim, 'My Lord, show me how You give life to the dead.' He said, 'Have you not believed?' He said, 'Yes, but I ask only that my heart may be satisfied.'" (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:260) This is because of what is in the hearts and whispers of Satan, so Allah was pleased with the statement of Ibrahim by His saying, 'Did you not believe?' He said, 'Yes.'" (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:260)
