Most hopeful verse in the Quran
[Machine] Abdullah ibn Abbas and Ibn Amr met and Ibn Abbas asked him, "Which verse in the Book of Allah do you find the most hopeful?" Ibn Amr replied, "O my servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah." (Surah Az-Zumar, 39:53) Ibn Abbas said, "But what about the statement of Ibrahim, 'My Lord, show me how You give life to the dead.' He said, 'Have you not believed?' He said, 'Yes, but I ask only that my heart may be satisfied.'" (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:260) This is because of what is in the hearts and whispers of Satan, so Allah was pleased with the statement of Ibrahim by His saying, 'Did you not believe?' He said, 'Yes.'" (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:260)
