Seeking refuge from worry, debt, and weakness
The Prophet ﷺ used to say:
allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika mina al-hammi wal-ḥazan, wal-ʿajzi wal-kasal, wal-bukhli wal-jubn, wa-ḍalaʿi al-dayn, wa-ghalabati al-rijāl
(O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, incapacity and laziness, cowardice and miserliness, the burden of debt, and being overpowered by men.)
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَقُولُ:
«اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ».
