Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not enter (the places) of these people where Allah's punishment had fallen unless you do so weeping. If you do not weep, do not enter (the places of these people) because Allah's curse and punishment which fell upon them may fall upon you."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى هَؤُلاَءِ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَلاَ تَدْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ لاَ يُصِيبُكُمْ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ

When the Prophet ﷺ passed by (a place called) Al Hijr, he said, "Do not enter the house of those who were unjust to themselves, unless (you enter) weeping, lest you should suffer the same punishment as was inflicted upon them." After that he covered his face with his sheet cloth while he was on the camel-saddle.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ لَمَّا مَرَّ بِالْحِجْرِ قَالَ لاَ تَدْخُلُوا مَسَاكِنَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا إِلاَّ أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ ثُمَّ تَقَنَّعَ بِرِدَائِهِ وَهْوَ عَلَى الرَّحْلِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not enter the ruined dwellings of those who were unjust to themselves unless (you enter) weeping, lest you should suffer the same punishment as was inflicted upon them."

رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَدْخُلُوا مَسَاكِنَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ

When the Prophet ﷺ passed by Al-Hijr, he said, "Do not enter the dwelling places of those people who were unjust to themselves unless you enter in a weeping state lest the same calamity as of theirs should befall you." Then he covered his head and made his speed fast till he crossed the valley.

لَمَّا مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِالْحِجْرِ قَالَ لاَ تَدْخُلُوا مَسَاكِنَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ ثُمَّ قَنَّعَ رَأْسَهُ وَأَسْرَعَ السَّيْرَ حَتَّى أَجَازَ الْوَادِيَ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his companions who were at Al-Hijr, "Do not enter upon these people who are being punished, except in a weeping state, lest the same calamity as of theirs should befall you..."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لأَصْحَابِ الْحِجْرِ لاَ تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى هَؤُلاَءِ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ

(While we were going for the Battle of Tabuk and when we reached the places of the dwellers of Al- Hijr), Messenger of Allah ﷺ said about the dwellers of Al-Hijr (to us). "Do not enter (the dwelling places) of these people unless you enter weeping, but if you weep not, then do not enter upon them, lest you be afflicted with what they were afflicted with."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لأَصْحَابِ الْحِجْرِ لاَ تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى هَؤُلاَءِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَلاَ تَدْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ

Salim b. 'Abdullah reported that 'Abdullah b. Umar said: We were passing along with Messenger of Allah ﷺ through the habitations of Hijr, and Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Do not enter but weepingly the habitations of these persons who committed tyranny among themselves, lest the same calamity should fall upon you as it fell upon them. He then urged his mount to proceed quickly and pass through that valley hurriedly.

مَرَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْحِجْرِ فَقَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَدْخُلُوا مَسَاكِنَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ حَذَرًا أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ ثُمَّ زَجَرَ فَأَسْرَعَ حَتَّى خَلَّفَهَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not enter upon a people who are being punished unless you are weeping, fearing that what afflicted them may afflict you."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ

[AI] "And while he was in the cave, do not enter upon those afflicted people except if you are weeping, so that what afflicts them may also afflict you."

ﷺ وَهُوَ فِي الْحِجْرِ لَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَيُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِأَصْحَابِ الْحِجْرِ «لَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَلَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ»

[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Do not enter upon the people of Thamud unless you are crying. If you are not crying, then I fear that a similar punishment which befell them may also befall you.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمِ يَعْنِي أَصْحَابَ ثَمُودَ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ الَّذِي أَصَابَهُمْ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said to his companions, "Do not enter upon those people, meaning the punished ones, unless you are crying. If you are not crying, then do not enter upon them lest you be afflicted by what has afflicted them."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ لَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمِ يَعْنِي الْمُعَذَّبِينَ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَلَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ لَا يُصِيبُكُمْ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ

[AI] When the messenger of Allah passed by the valley, he said, "Do not enter the dwellings of those who have wronged themselves unless you are weeping for what befell them." Then the messenger of Allah covered his head and hurried until he crossed the valley.

لَمَّا مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْحِجْرِ قَالَ لَا تَدْخُلُوا مَسَاكِنَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ الَّذِي أَصَابَهُمْ ثُمَّ قَنَّعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَأْسَهُ وَأَسْرَعَ السَّيْرَ حَتَّى أَجَازَ الْوَادِيَ

[AI] That the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever says to his brother, 'You are a disbeliever,' then surely one of them has committed disbelief."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ قَالَ لِأَخِيهِ كَافِرٌ فَقَدْ بَاءَ بِهِ أَحَدُهُمَا

"لا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى هَؤُلاءِ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ، إِلا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَإن لَمْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِيِنَ فلا تَدْخُلوا عَلَيهِمْ، لا يُصيبُكمْ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ".

"لا تَدْخُلُوا إِلا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ حَذَرًا أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ".

"لا تَدْخُلُوا مَسَاكِنَ الَّذينَ ظَلَمُوا أنْفُسَهُمْ إِلا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ خَيرًا أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ".

"لَمَا مَرَّ رَسولُ الله ﷺ بِالبَحْرِ، قَالَ: لاَ تَدْخُلوا مَسَاكِنَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أنفُسَهُم إِلاَّ أَنْ تكُونُوا باكِينَ أَنْ يُصِيْبَكُمْ مِثْلَ الذى أَصَابَهُم، ثُمَّ قَنَع رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَأسَهُ وأسْرعَ السَّيرَ حَتَّى أَجَازَ الوَادِىَ".
