bayhaqi:5018 – Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ And ʾAbū Muḥammad b. Abū Ḥāmid al-Muqriʾ > Abū al-ʿAbbās Muḥammad b. Yaʿqūb > al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī b. ʿAffān al-ʿĀmirī > Muḥammad b. ʿUbayd al-Ṭanāfisī > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUmar > Nāfiʿ

[Machine] In his final address, he said, "Pray in your tents, pray in the tents. For the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to instruct the Muadhin, when it was a cold, rainy, or windy night on a journey, saying, 'Pray in the tents.' It is narrated in the Sahih from the Hadith of Ubaidullah."  

البيهقي:٥٠١٨ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ أَبِي حَامِدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ الْعَامِرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ نَادَى بِالصَّلَاةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ ذَاتِ بَرْدٍ وَرِيحٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ

muslim:697b – Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh b. Numayr from my father > ʿUbaydullāh > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

Pray in your dwellings, pray in your dwellings, and then said: When it was a cold night or it was raining in a journey the Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) used to command the Mu'adhdhin to announce: Pray in your dwellings.  

مسلم:٦٩٧b – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّهُ نَادَى بِالصَّلاَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ ذَاتِ بَرْدٍ وَرِيحٍ وَمَطَرٍ فَقَالَ فِي آخِرِ نِدَائِهِ أَلاَ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ أَلاَ صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ إِذَا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةٌ بَارِدَةٌ أَوْ ذَاتُ مَطَرٍ فِي السَّفَرِ أَنْ يَقُولَ أَلاَ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ  

nasai:654 – Qutaybah > Mālik > Nāfiʿ

"Pray where you are, for the Prophet ﷺused to order the Mu'adhdhin, if it was a cold and rainy night, to say: 'Pray in your dwellings.'"  

النسائي:٦٥٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ أَذَّنَ بِالصَّلاَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ ذَاتِ بَرْدٍ وَرِيحٍ فَقَالَ

أَلاَ صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ إِذَا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةٌ بَارِدَةٌ ذَاتُ مَطَرٍ يَقُولُ أَلاَ صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ  

abudawud:1062 – ʿUthmān b. Abū Shaybah > Abū Usāmah > ʿUbaydullāh > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

Nafi' said: Ibn Umar made the call to prayer at Dajnan (a place between Mecca and Medina), on a cold and windy night. He added the words at the end of the call: "Lo! pray in your dwellings. Lo! pray in the dwellings." He then said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command the mu'adhdhin to announce, "Lo! pray in your dwellings." on a cold or rainy night during journey.  

أبو داود:١٠٦٢ – حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّهُ نَادَى بِالصَّلاَةِ بِضَجْنَانَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ ذَاتِ بَرْدٍ وَرِيحٍ فَقَالَ فِي آخِرِ نِدَائِهِ أَلاَ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ أَلاَ صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ إِذَا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةٌ بَارِدَةٌ أَوْ ذَاتُ مَطَرٍ فِي سَفَرٍ يَقُولُ أَلاَ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ  

malik:3-11 – Yaḥyá > Mālik > Nāfiʿ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar called the adhan on a cold and windy night and included the phrase, "Do the prayer in shelter." Then he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to orderthe muadhdhin to say, 'Do the prayerin shelter' when it was a cold, rainy night "  

مالك:٣-١١ – حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ

أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ أَذَّنَ بِالصَّلاَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ ذَاتِ بَرْدٍ وَرِيحٍ فَقَالَ أَلاَ صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ إِذَا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةٌ بَارِدَةٌ ذَاتُ مَطَرٍ يَقُولُ أَلاَ صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ  

ahmad:5800 – Muḥammad b. ʿUbayd > ʿUbaydullāh > Nāfiʿ

Nafi' said: Ibn Umar made the call to prayer at Dajnan (a place between Mecca and Medina), on a cold and windy night. He added the words at the end of the call: "Lo! pray in your dwellings. أحمد:٥٨٠٠ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ نَادَى بِالصَّلَاةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ ذَاتِ بَرْدٍ وَرِيحٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ

فِي آخِرِ نِدَائِهِ أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ إِذَا كَانَتْ لَيْلَةٌ بَارِدَةٌ أَوْ ذَاتُ مَطَرٍ أَوْ ذَاتُ رِيحٍ فِي السَّفَرِ أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ  

ahmad:5151 – Yaḥyá b. Saʿīd > ʿUbaydullāh > Nāfiʿ > ʿAbdullāh > Adhhan Biḍajanān Laylah al-ʿIshāʾ Thum

[Machine] "In the aftermath, they were instructed to pray during the journeys, and it was informed to us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command the mu'adhin to say: 'Pray during the journeys on cold or rainy nights while traveling.'"  

أحمد:٥١٥١ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَنَّهُ أَذَّنَ بِضَجَنَانَ لَيْلَةً الْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ قَالَ

فِي إِثْرِ ذَلِكَ أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ مُؤَذِّنًا يَقُولُ أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْبَارِدَةِ أَوِ الْمَطِيرَةِ فِي السَّفَرِ  

nasai-kubra:1630 – Qutaybah b. Saʿīd > Mālik > Nāfiʿ

Pray in your dwellings; and then said: When it was a cold, rainy night, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command the Mu'adhdhin to say" Pray in your dwellings." (Using translation from Muslim 697a)
