[Machine] "Some men from the Ansar sought permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'Grant us permission, O Messenger of Allah, to leave and offer our loyalty to our cousin, Abbas.' The Messenger replied, 'No, by Allah, you will not leave even a single dirham.'"  

البيهقي:١٢١٥٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَتَّابٍ ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ قَالَ قَالَ مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رِجَالًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ اسْتَأْذَنُوا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا ائْذَنْ لَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَلنَتْرُكْ لِابْنِ أُخْتِنَا عَبَّاسٍ فِدَاءَهُ فَقَالَ لَا وَاللهِ لَا تَذَرُونَ دِرْهَمًا  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ إِذْ ذَاكَ كَانَ صَبِيًّا صَغِيرًا إِلَّا أَنَّ أُمَّهُ كَانَتْ أَسْلَمَتْ فَصَارَ مُسْلِمًا بِإِسْلَامِ أُمِّهِ قَالَ الْبُخَارِيُّ كَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ مَعَ أُمِّهِ مِنَ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَ أَبِيهِ عَلَى دِينِ قَوْمِهِ

Some men of the Ansar asked for the permission of Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Allow us to give up the ransom from our nephew Al-ʿAbbas. The Prophet ﷺ said (to them), "Do not leave (even) a Dirham (of his ransom). (Using translation from Bukhārī 2537)
