the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,"Hospitality extends up to three days and what is beyond that is charity."

الأدب المفرد:٧٤٢ – حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «الضِّيَافَةُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ، فَمَا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ».

The Prophet ﷺ said: Hospitality extend for three days, and what goes beyond that is sadaqah (charity).

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الضِّيَافَةُ ثَلاَثَةُ أَيَّامٍ فَمَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ
