Indeed, it is one of the signs of the Hour that speech will be widespread, and actions will be concealed. Indeed, it is one of the signs of the Hour that the [mathnā] will be recited, and no one will be found has changed it." He was asked, "What is the mathnā?" He replied, "It is what is written from books other than the Quran. So, adhere to the Quran, for with it you are guided, rewarded, and questioned." He said, 'What is in this book is innovation, temptation, and misguidance. Indeed, those who came before you were destroyed because of things like this. They wrote it and their tongues enjoyed it, and their hearts were filled with it. Therefore, I am determined that whoever knows the whereabouts of this book, except if he indicates it, I will take an oath by Allah.' Shu'bah asked, 'Did he take an oath by Allah?'
